Nah, that's the money they ask for them to allow Mowbray to join Celtic. They want to reach an agreement on that before letting us talk to him officially, if the deal doesn't go down, we won't pay.

Similar to a player transfer really.

Oh right i was a bit confused when i saw this piece on the BBC website the other day ....

"We inserted a compensation figure when Tony signed a new contract 16 months ago," he said. "It is non-negotiable because we don't want to lose our manager.
"Celtic have been made aware of the figure and if they agree to pay this, only then will I speak to Tony and get his thoughts on the situation.
"Until and unless that happens, as far as we are concerned it is business as usual as we plan for a very important season ahead of us.

The bit highlighted threw me a touch as the compo mentioned was only for the WBA chairman to speak to Mowbary and get his views on the matter :97:...sounds a bit suspect to me and i dont blame our Board one bit looking at that

Yeah, but it says "agree to pay", WBA are just playing hard ball, cause they don't really want Mowbray to leave. They want some sort of insurance agreed beforehand.

Having said that, it would be naive to think that Celtic haven't actually contacted Mowbray personally yet.

Mowbray will know his salary and transfer budget by now if he is the guy the club want.

BBC Scotland have tonight claimed that Celtic have made "no further contact" with West Bromwich Albion and "there are no ongoing negotiations" regarding Baggies manager Tony Mowbray.
