World wide Michael Jackson is the best selling artist of all time and that includes download sales too.

It's between The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby and Michael Jackson. No exact figures are available. The best selling album of all time was the Eagles -Their Greatest Hits 1971-75 which sold over 29 million copies.

That's got nothing to do with the quality of the music though.
Janet Jackson is from a more modern era where advertising music is on a far bigger scale.

It's so annoying to see some shockingly bad artists in there like wet wet wet, shakin stevens and cher, when you consider a band like The Stone Roses, one of the most important bands of all time and imo the creators of the best album ever made, are nowhere to be seen. The Roses got absolutely shafted by their record label, they've hardly seen a penny from that first album where they should be considered legends because they, as a band, were an absolute one off. Best band that's ever lived if you ask me.

Am I the only one that thinks Elvis is absolutely chronic?

I understand his ability as a showman but his songs, to me, are terrible.

Elvis Pressley recorded over 600 songs and didn't actually write a single one.

He has a few good songs, nothing that I'd call spectacular.

There's a lot of 'successful' artists that i'd describle as chronic but Elvis isn't one of them. Not that am a fan but i can bear to listen to him if i've no choice.

Now if talking about say, James Blunt.....
