A good fee going by his actual value.

If it goes through then it's a nice bit of biz.

aw that minds of a night out recently cos my friend thinks bad romance sounds like that at the ra ra ra ma ma bit and we started singing that... yeah we are cool thanks :icon_mrgreen: sorry totally of topic... anywhoo i think it'd be great to see this guy in the hoops, we have been lacking a big physical striker this season i think and for a good while cos JVOH was injured quite a bit when he was here.

Yeah true. Still be nice to have a man who will be in the correct position to take a shot on. Plus he has that header on him and that's something we miss very much.

Can't think of the last time a striker scored via a header (except a few from skippy and the disallowed one from Marco) with the balls that will undoubtedly come into the box this is a good positive sign.

Having said that,i won't get carried away lol time will tell if he does give us the presence we need to take advantage or corners and crosses.

    Really?

Front four on most nights (when healthy):

    McGeady-Samaras-McDonald-McGinn

All pacey. We need finishers, not pace.

If you are talking world class speed, then get ready to shell out the money. At the level we spend you get three classes of strikers:

    Those that finish
    Those that are _really_ pacey
    Those that link play

To get players that have two or more of those attributes you have to pay a lot more than 1.5m... or you have to get lucky (e.g. Henrik Larsson).

glad to see we are looking more at Scandinavia. We'll get players from there siuted to the scottish game unlike some signings like Mizuno who will never be strong enough for SPL. We've already signed Rogne and Hooiveld from Scandinavia and another one wouldn't hurt. And if we get the next Riise, Mjallby, Solskjaer or Larsson then that would do aswell

I appreciate all the opinions here! This is why I like TalkCeltic.

As for pace, I see no point when there is no finish, at least not in a striker.
