Strachans would get 1 point due to the keeper MON had sourced.

But MON's defence, midfield and strike-force win by miles.

Would Naka even get a game ahead of Thommo at his peak? I'm not so sure.

    It's an unfair comparison.

Thommo was played as a wingback most of the time, which Naka would be no good for.

But as a player on the wing, Naka beats Thommo hands down.

Larsson had his best days under MON though.

I agree that WGS has done an awful lot with the squad he inherited with far less money and wages.

Naka wouldnt have gotten into MON's team because he wanted physical players as a requirement for success.

Would Juninho played better under WGS? Petta might have done alot better under WGS too

It has to be noted that both managers play a very different style and some players however skillful didnt have a great chance under MON.

WGS knows that Naka cannot create space for himself so he has the rest of the team do it. MON wouldnt have made that tradeoff, imo

tbh i always liked MONs team better, mostly because we had one of the best strike forces in the UK then. our defense under MON was strong, but he could have made more use of younger players, as GS is now, which is a credit to him. GSs midfield is better i think, with nakamura and graveson, although we can not forget about the talents of lubo under MON. we scored more goals, just look at season 2003/04 when we trashed anyone. too many of us then complained that it is was too easy, and there was little singing at the games, now we complain because the team is not playing well, they can't win. although i am one of them fans lol
