Left out of the game last night and wasn't injured so maybe on the move again can we swap him for Mikey Johnson and a good back up to Jota .

    Good goal,

I'm glad to see he's getting into the team and producing, it helps up our profile as a club that can develop and improve players

Former Celtic loanee Mohamed Elyounoussi has opened up on 'finding himself' at Parkhead and his 'connection' to the Irish tricolour.

Elyounoussi spent two seasons on loan at the Hoops from Southampton, winning the treble in 2019-20.

He has since returned to the Saints and features regularly in the English Premier League - but the 28-year-old credits his time in Glasgow with helping restore his football confidence.

“I had a really good time," he told The Irish Times. "It was a period where I needed to play games, get confidence again and find myself.

"I think I certainly did that in Celtic. The size of the club, the fans, everything was brilliant, and it is still a club I am following and watch and support.”

In Dublin for Norway's friendly with the Republic of Ireland, Elyounoussi also commented that due to his spell at Celtic he feels a bond with the Irish tricolour.

“There is the kind of connection when you see the Irish flag because that is something you saw everywhere in Celtic,” he said.

Elyounoussi has played 14 times for Southampton this term, laying on one assist. He is just two caps shy of reaching a half-century for Norway.

Not many know this but Elyounoussi only has three fingers on each hand, causing him to be nicknamed "Zippy" everywhere he goes.

That's not true, back in the sixties I was wired up to a funnyometer and told to tell some jokes and the machine exploded because I was so funny killing three scientists, I've never got over the guilt of that, funny can be tragic. :54:

    Terrific player just lacked pace.

Very silky. Tbh outwith abada he'd outscore any current widemen and certainly central midfielders.

Southampton relegated so may be available. One of the very few players who seemed to give a * in the doomed 10iar season.

Had work rate about him and think would fit in well to the team.

I liked him and he’d be a good option. But he prefers playing on the left and that’s one of the stronger areas of the squad.

Liked him and called for him to sign for years but think he's too one paced for this side. Would rather give Haksabanovic a chance. Similar players in some aspects.

We can't turn the clock back, he had his chance, decent enough player, but was inconsistent.
The only one I would consider taking back would be GG. But that won't happen under Ange.

He's a good player, wouldn't fit the system here, a bit too slow and we're good on the left just now.

If we were targeting any of their players (and I don't think it would be a good call, overinflated EPL wages, likely a premium in transfers despite relegation) I'd be saying to go for Perraud the LB, Livramento the RB or Alcaraz the CM but they'll be way out of our budget anyway. Wages alone for pretty much any of their players is way over ours.

Livramento is apparently only on 7.8k, if that's the case he's way underpaid and will be for the off or a big contract upgrade and would be a great addition. After that there all 40k wages. Armstrong would be a good one to bring back for Home-grown etc but he's on 53k a week supposedly, he's not going to come for half his wages
