He’s been quite poor for a lot of the season but where the * would we be without his goals...

He’s another player I’d love to have seen play for us under a decent manager.

We'd be even worse off without him this season.

Celtic have their sets on re-signing Mohamed Elyounoussi again this summer – and his Southampton price tag is set to crash to £5million, Football Insider understands.

The Premier League club wanted £8-10million for the Norway international winger last summer but could not find a club willing to pay that.

Celtic eventually landed Elyounoussi on a second consecutive loan and Neil Lennon floated the possibility last week he could return to Parkhead again next summer, potentially on a third loan.

Elyounoussi’s price tag is expected to tumble when he enters the final two years of his Southampton contract this summer.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that the wide attacker is likely to be available for around £5m after a mixed campaign in Scotland.

That is less than a third of the £16m Southampton paid Swiss club Basel for him in the summer of 2018.

£5m would be a big yes from me. Get him back to the form when he first joined it would be a steal. Fans back and a new manager and I’m sure we would see the best of him.

Yeah £5m is a no brainer. Not his biggest fan but he does have the odd moment of real quality that most of our squad lacks.

Don't want him permanently tbh, frustrating as * player, too many attacks break down in the final third when he's in possession, his decision making & passing in the final third kills so many attacks. Far too inconsistent, especially for the wages he'd no doubt be demanding.

Would be excellent in a team where the coach knows what he's doing, like many others.

£5m is a no brainer.. If any truth in it.

£5million is an absolute steal in all honesty.

Get him coming off the left hand side in a team with a competent left back and an actual football manager, and he’ll do very well here.

At 5 million I'd take him, absolutely. However, as noted many times before on here, the managerial situation needs more focus than anything at the moment. I suspect we'd see more improvement and consistency with guys like him with the right coaching.

Buy a top quality overlapping left back to help him so he doesn't need to beat 2 men most of the time, at his best coming inside but needing a left back to make runs outside him to free him up.

There is a talent there, that with a real football manager at the helm, I'd be confident he could be a consistent version of first season Sinclair.

I feel like he can offer more at time's. Decision making can be really hit and miss but 5 mill is a bargain..

Still scores a lot of goals and as mentioned, in a proper system...could be class..

Would he want to stay though? He only came back on loan because of the fan's..

Edit: one thing I will say though is our team needs a real injection of pace this summer..

    Mo
    Ajeti
    Griff
    Turnbull
    Rogic
    Taylor
    Bitton
    Jullien
    Broony

It's a side that is really lacking a lot of raw pace now. Especially with Frimpong gone..

Imagine him under a proper manager? I honestly think he'd be absolutely lethal imo.

He 100% flatters to deceive at times but if he's available for 5 million we need to take it, the fact he came back on loan tells me he enjoys it here too.

I'd leave the decision to the next manager.

If he's going to play a 4-2-3-1 then I think he could do well under the right coach.

If it's going to be 4-4-2 (diamond) or 3-5-2 then I don't think he fits in there and £5m is too big a fee to pay for a bit-part player.

Certainly worth the tag if it’s new management coming in

Under a new manager - yes.

    Under Lennon - naw.

Biggest move we could make is getting rid of Lennon. I think Moi would be a class above under a coach that coached.
