There wont be any voting so knock it off. We'll be looking at the applications made, their suitability for the forum they prefer and making our own minds up. This isnt a popularity contest, its about getting the right people for the task.

I think i could do the Gaming & Computer section. Although im sure there are people who know more about computers than me.

I would like to do the World Football, i watch any games i can and im fairly knowledgable on a lot of players/clubs/leagues in Europe.

What is the criteria?

For example, is there any point in me applying as i've only been a member a few months and only have a few hundred posts, or is this irrelevant?

Also, what all does a mod do and how available does he have to be?
There's no point in applying for it if you don't know what the job entails or if it transpires you're incapable of doing the job through time constraints etc.

 

I dont know your time constraints but do you think that you'd be online enough to moderate a forum properly? Do you have the time to moderate a forum when you are online?

Irrelevant but a well known regular would have probably better demonstrated his maturity, knowledge of the forum, online activity etc than a newer member. But that doesnt mean that a newer member doesnt have a hope of getting it over them. I was only a member here about 4-5 months when I was asked if I wanted to be a moderator.

Hi, i would love to moderate the computer and gaming section, it happens to be my passion and i think i could do a good job there. please pm me with responsibilities and i'll pm back to say if i could manage it.

 

Actually, zmcfczm should really be picked.

He has been here since December 2006 and has a lot of posts as well as being a news writer. His posts are always well written and sensible and he seems likehe would be mature enough and active enough to moderate a forum.

 

Computers and Gaming
Been into computers and gaming since the heady days of the ZX81

right through the Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amiga and various consoles.

Now 42 I find myself still into games and computing, I have a PS3 as well as a PC. I
also am in the privalaged position of being able to work from home, so I can devote time to the post.

 

Oh * those things were lucky to get 1MB for memory.
