Pretty clinical stuff from McGregor. Too good. Proved me completely wrong as i genuinely thought Alvarez would take him. That said, ive always been pretty * at predicting this game.

What or who is next i wonder? I really cant see him go back to defend the FW though.

Still fought him though, Cerrone is well liked by fans and them fighting would be a big fight that would rake in viewers, especially if it was at 170 again or maybe an inbetween 160 or 165. Anyway regardless I was just saying i'd like to see them fight.

I don't think McGregor should fight Diaz again unless Diaz earns a shot at the 155 belt, McGregor for me outclassed him in both fights, it's clear he's a better fighter. Dont think theres any need to go again. I think if Diaz fought Cerrone now at 170, Cerrone would beat him too.

    * * Ronda Rousey is a female fighter. Why is her name appearing when we're talking about who the guys are going to fight next?

Because she's the biggest name with McGregor  we were talking about money making fights. She makes huge money.

Jon Jones is the goat IMO but he doesn't sell well. And Dana said the other day he'll never headline a ppv again.

Alvarez was so much smaller than McGregor, it was quite an easy fight for him.

Seems to be a consensus growing that McGregor's next fight will be the Nate Trilogy.

Tough cookie is Diaz. Hard fight to call.

Neither commentator seemed to enjoy that fight too much.

How is she making so much money? Female bouts don't seem to be as high a standard as the males.

Will she get a decent match up or is she too good?

What's up with Jon Jones? If he's the best ever why isn't he fighting the top guys?

He did for me, in the first until he got clipped and finished he was outclassing him(about 1 and a bit rounds), in the 2nd too I thought he just looked to have too much class for Diaz.

Diaz had an advantage too fighting at the heavier weight that suits him more, at 155 I think McGregor would be more comfortable.

She was heavily hyped as a female Mike Tyson etc and is an interesting character who was ko-ing people in seconds and I think is popular just as a celebrity in America so women etc would watch her fights as they've seen her on TV.

Quality wise she looked the bees knees until Holly Holm ripped the pish out her and she hasn't fought since. Nunes looks really good who she fights next, if she loses that she might be finished if she wins then it will be a great win and she'll probably rematch Holm again.

McGregor was a one trick pony in the first fight and when Diaz started reading the left hand he landed the 1-2 to absolute perfection.

Mate the second fight is an all time classic because of how close it was. They took turns at annihilating each other.

Cool, thanks. So the Nunes fight should be good. Holm must be some fighter if she's ripped apart the female Mike Tyson.

It would be good if the Nunes fight was on the same card as one of the big 155lb male fights. Is that the most competitive weight for the men just now?

Jones had easily the hardest run in UFC history. He fought something like 6 ex champions in a row.

That does sound impressive. What's his problem with sales, has he not got a showhiz character or is he past his best now?

The first I think fair enough Diaz caught him with a good punch and from there it was all over, when he caught him in that fight I dont think it was because McGregor was that tired he was just caught with a good hit and it rocked him and he panicked and got finished.

The 2nd though I think it lingered on and on because McGregor was tired because he was carrying too much weight, if it was at 155 I think McGregor would have the energy to have done better and maybe not knocked him out as Diaz is a hard * but probably have won by more distance, I agree as you say it was very close and hard to call.

At 155 if thats what they fight at if they fight again, McGregor will last the pace better and Diaz won't be as heavy hitting either, sways it in McGregors favour quite a bit like 170 did for Diaz.
