Aye, that's right. Sure a dodgy private investigator tried to blame him for fiddling with fat Morelos' car.

If he’s got potential then we need to start playing the young players. There needs to be one youth player getting off the bench each week. We have lost Doak and others and there needs to be a pathway to the first team.

Comes from a family of time he'll get the picture just needs to nail down and keep his place.

He looked a bit wooden the last time I seen him and came across as a bit of a square in his interview.

    Etc

Aye I suppose your right to some degree. To be a successful team we need to be ruthless. If you are not hitting the heights that you are supposed to then you need to get replaced. I am maybe too loyal (* hate that word) to some players at times.

I also had it in my head that Taylor was a Rodgers signing from the first time around. I was thinking thats maybe why Rodgers didnt replace him. But he wasnt. He was signed the season after Rodgers left by Neil Lennon.

Suppose I just like the guy thats all. But you are right. To improve then we need to be ruthless

Taylor was a revelation as in inverted full back, that system really suited him. Unfortunately his lack of pace gets badly exposed when he is played as a conventional full back. He's never going to get much faster than he is now so if we are going to be using conventional full backs we need someone else. It's harsh, but that's the reality.

Celtic Football Club are thrilled to announce that youngster Mitchel Frame has signed a new three-year deal that will see him remain at Celtic Park until 2026.

Joining the Academy at nine-years-old, the left-back has risen through the ranks and is now a regular feature in the Celtic FC B Team.

After signing his first professional deal with the club in July 2022, Frame continued his development as part of the under-18 squad.

During the 2022/23 campaign, he helped Stuart McLaren’s side reach the Youth Cup final, and was even on the scoresheet as the Celts ran out 6-5 winners over Rangers at Hampden Park.

Ahead of the beginning of the new season, Frame spent time training with Brendan Rodgers’ first team in Portugal, before taking the permanent step up to the B Team.

So far this season, Frame has featured in every competitive fixture for the young Hoops, in domestic and European action.

The 17-year-old has also received international recognition at youth level for Scotland, and recently made his first appearances for the under-19 squad.

Everyone at Celtic would like to congratulate Mitchel, and we look forward to seeing him continue his journey with the Hoops.

Sounds like, with fellow LB's Adam Montgomery and Matthew Anderson away on loan, that this young fella is making the most of his opportunities. Congrats on the new deal!

Whatever else can be said, can't argue that it seems to be producing a few LB's at the Academy level at least. Tierney... Montgomery... Anderson... Frame.

Whether any of them can reach Tierney's level though, that's another thing entirely.

Never mind Tierney. If you are a left back....its Stephanne Mahe's level that you must aspire to reach
