Aye, the guy said that they will have detailed colour pictures and Australia could have satellites that could zoom in and read the writing on a basketball but they wouldnt say if they did.

Really makes you wonder! The families of those on the flight are really reluctant to believe anything that's been said.... Really hard to imagine what they're going through.

Sorry about the thumbs down, Not sure why that happened lol

the black box on a plane sends out a radar ping that lasts for 30 days after the plane comes into any trouble

They should learn from the Bin Laden exercise and check the pilots home

Perhaps they developed gills and they're now living under the sea.

Still odd that it would fly all the way down there. Wonder what the * was going on.

Not many would've survived impact never mind 2 weeks floating at sea. Bit if a dumb thing to say really.

This is far from over, we are all eager to hear what happened for a plane to travel 7 hours in the wrong direction without being detected.

I think that it's imperative that they find out what happened given the strangeness of the whole thing.

The whole situation has left even the experts confused which is never a good sign. The families will not be willing to wait 2 years for the black box to be recovered either and rightly so!

Been watching the news constantly for the past few weeks and just can't imaginr how the families feel....absolutely devastating.

For all we believe the world is a small place, it is not really and its remote down/out there and the sea is what, 2 miles deep I heard on the news. Its going to take luck and a great degree of skill to locate the black box in the next couple of weeks. No doubt the conspiracy people will be in overdrive shortly.

A conspiracy is due and rightly so! This may be a one off incident but I would like to know why a plane was allowed to travel that far away from any airport with out anyone batting a eye lid until it eventually disappeared completely.

For my own personal safety as well as everybody else that use flying as a means of transport it's vital that they find out what allowed this to happen and what can be done to prevent it.

Yesterday I assumed that they found debris, added that to the satelliete footage and came to a conclusion, but it seems they don't have this footage or debris and are in actual fact are basing that it was lost due to intel by a UK satalliete company which in itself stinks of desperation.

Absolutely no doubt that the plane has crashed in the ocean but i think many were looking for a bit more solid evidence before they did so.

I'm confused by what the media are reporting and can see exactly why the families of the passenegers are currently out protesting.

They aren't saying very much, the two people on fake passports seemed to have faded away from the headlines too.

They have to find it, speaking just from a business point of view, I imagine, Boeing are * themselves, if it's found to be some design flaw they are in for some tough times. Especially with the issues they have had with there latest 787 dreamliner. 777 was first developed in the 1990s so it isnt as if it's an old aircraft that is being phased out.

I find the suicide idea to be a tough one to accept, but then you do hear stories of people killing themselves and taking others with them for no apparant reason.

It's an interesting one, you would assume if there was a malfunction with the plane then they would have radioed with their concerns.

I also find the suicide theory a bit unlikely but you just never know.

It seem's to be far more common than I would ever have believed.

Just look at the Egypt air flight 990, the pilot killed himself and took 200 odd people with him, that's what I suspect has happened here again.
