Juventus winger Milos Krasic has been banned for two games by the Italian football league for diving.
Krasic won a controversial penalty in Sunday's goalless draw at Bologna after falling inside the area.
Video replays, however, showed Bologna defender Daniele Portanova did not touch the player.
A statement from the league read: "The TV replay showed that there was no contact between the two players and that the player's dive was the cause for the referee to make a mistake."
Krasic, who is Juve's joint-top scorer alongside Fabio Quagliarella with three goals, is set to miss Saturday's game at AC Milan and the encounter against Cesena.
Would love to see this implemented throughout world football. would soon cut out all the *.

Retrospective punishment should be implemeneted in football. Ok it might not help in hte game, but it could help stamp out the blatant cheating (Broadfoat) in games.

He is an outstanding player and I feel this could ruin his reputation. So many people dive it's a shame he has been outcasted. I suppose it has to start somewhere, lets hope people keep being banned for it.

I think you're onto something there mate.
"Geez yir carkeys Broadfoot ya * - see yiz in 2012." :56: -
did anyone watch him against man city, dived all the time
-
Remember watching him play at Old Traffoed last season when he was at CSKA Moscow and thinking what a player.
No need for diving though. 2 match ban deserved and hopefully other leagues follow suit. -
