Why are people on this forum filling their pants with excrement because of a bunch of downy tadgers from Millwall? Some people are acting like there's going to be Millwall fans running through the streets with automatics and gunning down all who come.

Its true though. There's people on here confusing a potential friendly against Millwall with a battle scene from Lord of the Rings.

You do have to laugh at the term friendly when we are due to play clubs like chelsea, millwall, ajax, birmingham etc

14 pages and this isn't even confirmed anywhere. :56:

Can't see this one happening myself. File beside glasgow derbies played abroad.

It kinda is due to the ridiculous and embarrassing overreactions from some. I think what this thread does well to serve up is just how sanitised the game is here and the knock on effect that has on some supporters. There is a comfort zone that exists for some and anything that deviates from this– your typical, mundane SPL game played in a stadium devoid of any atmosphere or supporter scene –is seen as being so abhorrent. Sadly we must be near the top of the list in terms of just how boring and uneventful the supporter scene is – and worse, in general this is accepted. It’s this meek acceptance which leads to the slightest thing being blown out of proportion – front page news coverage and police chaps on the door at 6am for several days over some broken seats and pyro at a football match, I mean really?

So we may arrange a game against a team who have a large number of supporters who hate us – so what. Dublin in a love in against Barcelona, or into the lions den against Millwall – I know what I prefer.

When the league fixtures come out it’s games against (or was games against) the huns, hearts, Hansa Rostock, Dynamo Dresden etc that I look for first – games where the opposition detest us, games that thanks to this have an edge to them right away. It’s not games against St Mirren or St Johnstone!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

I'm 90 percent sure it won't happen but I hope it does, hammering them at the den and taking the * out my pals in the west upper or east upper will be class and a nice edge to the fixture in and around the ground..
They must be the most active in england at causing bother in big numbers continually each season however many police are present, only at qpr last week they were playing up in big numbers..

I'd be 100 percent if it weren't for the walkway but it has turned the den into a safe place to go now so the thought of playing a pre season friendly aren't as stupid as maybe it was 6/7 years ago where it would have been a nightmare for celtic supporters around the ground..

They walked down the Uxbridge Road after the match AND with a heavy Police escort robbing the shops, starting trouble on locals and basically doing what the * they wanted and the Police weren't going to stop them.

The problem is that 99% of our fanbase is summed up by that video.

That's nothing to be ashamed of, of course, but we're not fighters and we have never been. For the best supported club in Scotland and the 3rd or 4th in Britain our firm is on par with clubs a 10th the size.

The mod who'll have no sympathy for Celtic fans being hurt cares more about the Catalans than his own fans.

    Part true..
They had over 150 letters from scotland yard telling them not to attend the white city area and surrounding qpr areas or face arrest, they still went and there main millwall fio laughed about the letter sent from scotland yard and said it meant * all..
They still went and only masse police stopped 150 millwall who had slipped through ravenscourt park right onto the adelaide pub on uxbridge road..
    No arrests..

    It doesn't mean anything though..

Our problem when coming to england is when our fans are get so * they don't know what there doing and become easy targets, otherwise we are no different to most regular supports..

My cousin who lives on Percy Street said that they were robbing the Asian shops on Uxbridge Road after the game and throwing bottles, cans and fruit at passers by, Police and QPR fans and anyone trying to goad the Millwall fans were arrested for their own safety....

Love how we've reached 15 pages and this might not even happen :smiley-laughing002:

I hope it does go ahead though, would be a good day out for our fans and chances are, our supporters would outnumber theirs anyway. It would just be a case of our lads all sticking together and not taking any risks.
