I get what you mean but remember that snake * hung him out to dry as a lone striker in the previous start vs them. Forrest was very poor today and had about 20 * games vs them until recently too. Think MJ's development has been good considering the injuries he has had since his debut, definitely our most exciting attacking prospect since McGeady

The difference in that comparison being Forrest is supremely reliable in big games over a decade.

If Johnstone becomes as reliable as him against the Huns and in Europe we are laughing.

I'm never subdued when we score mate. Regardless of who we are playing.

He set up French Eddy at ibrox did he not. Picked up a loose pass, drove at their defence and split them open. I could be wrong mate but you seem to want to not like him. He is a class player and he should be playing. That is the only way he learns.

If you think I don’t want to like him you’re not only wrong, you’re reading half of what I’m posting!

I did say i could be wrong mate, and I know you said you understand why people are excited by him. All I am saying is I don't understand your seeming reluctance to start him. Elynoussi clearly wasn't fit,and it was no surprise the 1st half passed him by. MJ was clearly confident after his recent performances, albeit sub appearances, and the one thing their defence can't cope with is pace. It was a no brainer to start him for me today. Doesn't matter obviously thougj coz we won.

    I don't think anyone doubt's his talent.

Incidents arise in big games that can really kick a young player on....if Mickey had stuck that away I'd hedge my bets he'd really up the anti .

That chance today was one that got away...I thought he did well today considering the team were woeful.

He turned that around pretty quickly, I only saw last 20 minutes of 1st half looked decent enough, still kept up his wrong choice again with the shot when Morgan was the better option.

2nd half was absolute rotten, everything went, touch, dribbling, passing.

Good option to come off the bench but is light years behind Mo.

He can go past players so easily. But he has a knack of taking heavy touches and letting the ball run away from him. Does it regularly.

It'll come with more game time and experience though. Only attacker for us who looked remotely threatening at times.

Still very green. For a boy with such close control and quick feet his touches can be appalling. For me, hes still not ready to be 1st choice.

Needs to work on that touch, and his strength.

He was poor. He did look dangerous at times but (at the risk of being a broken record player) so much to add to his game at this point.

Looked slightly off the boil tonight but before his injury he was flying. Think he just needs a bit more game time to get back on track, high hopes for this bhoy

I thought he played well, only time we looked really dangerous was when he was on the ball. Cluj knew it too.

Don't see how people could think he was poor, always picking up the ball and trying to be positive with it. Easily our stand out player on the night

I thought he was always willing to take the ball forward and showed no fear tonight but I've seen him better. He is let down by a heavy touch too often.
