It's horrible how some people just can't recover from injuries. And I was hoping he could leave the bad years behind him.

 

Aye, time to move him on. Absolutely no use to us.

Devastating news for him. I genuinely was of the belief that he had a role to play this season for us in the squad and was looking forward to seeing him back and full of confidence after a good season away on loan. This though you have to say may well spell the end for him at Celtic. So unfortunate for Johnston as again IMHO his talent and ability to be a good player for us is not in question.

 

I think the problem most have in keeping him around to make an impact off the bench is that he's never available for selection when we need him. I've always hoped he could make it here as he has talent, but even I've given up on that ever happening at this point.

 

Impact player off the bench ffs he can't stay fit long enough to even make the * bench. We are paying him to lie on the treatment table and have done for years now.

Tear up his contract to get him out the door, sorry for his injury problems but let’s get the problem out the door.

 

Harsh but you're probably right Ha. Probably wasn't in BR plans anyway. Gutted for the lad but it just seems a lost cause now

 

Poor guy.

Did all the right things last season, must be so tough mentally to keep going.

 

Don't really see any incentive for him to agree a payoff on his contract and become a free agent while he's injured, when he can get good quality treatment/rehab while he's still with us.

 

Mad how he was fit all last season, yet not really been fit for probably even 50% of a season at us since he was about 14, even 15/16/17 he was constantly injured and hardly played.

Only 24 and legs are plastered in scars from operations.

 

Why keep flogging a dead horse?

 

It's not us flogging a dead horse, it's that you can't just tear up a players contract because they're injured, it's * but it's part of the game, he hasn't done anything out of order for us to terminate his deal, he'd have to agree to end it, and why would he do that?
