Mikael Lustig

Lol..

 

I still really like Lustig, but I found it hard to believe he was still only 31. He didn't look like that the other night.

I've wondered recently if we could use Jack Hendry in the role Lustig has been playing in? He's obviously comfortable at centre-back, so can slip into a back three no problem at all. From what little we've seen, he's good on the ball an has a bit of speed about him, so maybe he could be an option at right-back? Just a thought.

 

Some of the comments on here have been shocking, Lustig has been a good servant for us. I did say it on here a while back, he is done & it is time to move on.

The shocking part is Rodgers keeps playing him

Either eddie's managed to get quite a few bites here...or he's managed to smoke quite a few crack pipes.

 

Don't see why we can't play Hendry there. He did play there for Dundee before being moved to centre half did he not ? BR says he's pace as well, can't do any worse than Lustig has surely. pl 11 2/

I understand the calls for Hendry at RB buy today is not the game to experiment with the team. Could go brilliantly well or horribly wrong. I am by no means a fan of Lustig as people will know but purely for experience and familiarity in the role he should start today.

Wouldn't be averse to Gamboa possibly starting as well but I can't see it happening.

 

I would play Hendry at RB today as well.

 

Ok was a bit OTT...but lustig is HOPELESS and I defy anyone to argue the point.
He is constantly switching off at the back...every time he try’s to pass a long ball out of defence
it goes to the opposition (just watch the last game against zenit and you will know what I mean)
He has no ability to get by players.

I don’t rate him and neither does the opposition

 

Think he’s finished, been abysmal all season

 

Been mainly poor since Lennon left tbh. Scores a cracker or delivers a good assist every now and again but not a great defender, never had much pace and is so awkward and one footed at times.

Not been convinced by Ralston yet and Gamboa seems to be a no-goer but surely either would be better options than Lustig at this moment. Rodgers seems to like playing out of form players until they somehow find the spark again. It's not working.

 

His foul for the booking just sums him up atm. Caught on his heels, nae brain and a rash foul.

 

Gives me the fear now no confidence in him at all potentially could get sent off if he keeps letting GMS get the better of him

 

He's lucky he's had Forrest in-front of him for the past 5-6 months, if it wasn't for Forrest our right side would be an absolute shambles.

If he's first choice RB and Paddy comes in, we will get slaughtered. Forrest carries the right side, does absolutely all of the attacking and does more than his fair share of covering.

 

Awful genuinely really poor

 

Should've came off on Thursday, shouldn't have started today, shouldn't be played again.
