You certainly are not. The ONLY footage we've seen is of Rangers fans charging stewards, and the stewards responding in defence. We've then seen Rangers fans ripping out seats and throwing them at the stewards, whilst generally behaving aggressive.

You can make the leap of faith (that you have been so keen to do anyway) that the fans must have been "provoked" in some way to behave this way, but consider a few things:

    1. Stewards (not riot police mind) are hardly known for their aggressive provocation of violence. Sure maybe they can get a little authorative at times, but is that REALLY a reason to charge them?

    2. Rangers have a proven track record of fighting with the authoraties. An un-*-disputable record. Manchester among MANY others.

    3. In a world where mostly anything can be captured on vide by mobile phones and posted on the internet within a matter of minutes, why has no footage of fans being mistreated by these supposedly big bad stewards not arisen?

    4. You simpy DON'T know. Although ALL evidence points to the opposite, you are keen to defend rangers fans.

I'd ask why, but I suspect I already know the answer. :shamrock:

Not all of them no but i think there is a bit of an over exaggeration about it all! I mean spraying tear gas at them, what is that all about! The foreign police are *, i have experienced it before when i went to an away game a few years ago!

Spraying tear gas at them wasn't a bad idea in my opinion. It had them retreating and it's a much better tactic than what the Italian police did to Man U fans. They decided clubbing them would be a good idea.

Well, obviously you wouldn't think so, but then again your opinion's hardlly an unbaised one.

Mind you, your need to denegrate Celtic fans as a tool to make Rangers fans appear in a good light is of course very telling.

You obviously seem keen to put down the Celtic support and have a good laugh at them for being pround to be considered one of the best fans in the world (by FIFA of course when we won the award.)

You keep laughing at us and keep defending Rangers. I always take great delight in seeing masks slip.

I look forward to your unintelligeble one line replies forthwith. :shamrock:

You should get in touch with sky sports to complain and explain to small minded that Celtic and Rangers are different football clubs. Like Nottingham Forest and Notts County or Everton and Liverpool. Ask for and apology to be aired. But at the end of the day Sky are *. They only seam to mention or show celtic when something has gone wrong for us. eg on the odd occasion recently when we have beaten the Huns it gets a 30sec mention but when they beat us its repeated over and over. Who gives a flying fa£$y what they say. They defo favour the huns.

Every set of supports in the world have idiotic fans and our lot will have their chance to shine on Sunday when the minute silence takes place!

What makes the best fans in the world? One's that boo their team off the park when they haven't won a game? One's that leave early? A stadium that is well short of it's capacity for most league games but yet full for the Champions League games? Celtic fans behave well when the travel and create a good atmosphere but we are not the best fans in the world! There was actually a thread about this a few weeks ago!

Another story going around, says it started because the stewards took some banners of them and they tried to get them back.

From the BBC Gossip section

A number of Rangers supporters wearing Stone Island and Burberry and speaking with Cockney accents were spotted before the match in Romania. (Daily Record)

And I'm saying that although there are better alternatives to being heavy handed, a lot of the time the fans are the cause of the police/stewards resorting to these tactics.

I thought you were describing your own support there, until you mentioned the capacity Champions League nights of course.

Yes, Celtic fans DO travel well and create a good atmosphere and Rangers hun * fans DON'T.

Which is kind of the whole point of the thread now isn't it.

I see you've been keen to bring up more negatives on our fans in order to make Rangers fans appear in a better light.

Here's a question. It might help you get out of jail (but at least I know it'll hurt you typing the words):

Who has a better support in general; Rangers or Celtic?

    One word answer please.:shamrock:
