Sure someone on KDS had said Ørjasæter was our top target.

Haven't seen any recent videos of Balikwisha, but from what I can remember last Summer he looked *.

Based on that alone I would rather someone else.

Belgian papers saying talks have reached a deadlock.

Think we might be being played here by agents or club. Think it's time to move on from this one.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha has also been linked with a switch from Royal Antwerp - with reports in Belgium suggesting the 24-year-old is keen to make the move.

However, Voetbal Primeur claim that talks have reached a deadlock over the £5.1m asking price Antwerp have placed on Balikwisha.

I do think £5m is steep for him, especially given he has less than a year on his contract and spent a large chunk of last season out injured.

Would have been looking to get him for £3m with a decent sell on clause attached.

    Aye I wouldn't pay £5m.

Think 3-4 is fair considering we can sign him on a free in 6 months.

Hopefully won't come up stuck with both him and Orjasaeter now.

I checked some local newspapers. Nothing from today or days before about this transfer, even vga.be who are usually forst to get Antwerp news. I heard through someone close to Antwerp that player wants to come to us.

the link above: voetbal primeur? They are not reputable. I would file as *. Not a chance in the world they get 5,1 for an injury prone player with one year contract. As long as he is injury free. I rate him! But thats the issue…

I think there was something in our interest but there’s been a lot from his side about it in the media, either him or his agents.

Usually unless they’re a main target, that we view as a must, when that happens we drop the interest.

When it’s one of many targets, we get spooked with that. I think I agree with our attitude doing that, if they’re loud and media stories from their camp before they sign, then what will it be if they get dropped

It seems like it's the club not the player.

Maybe mate but as I said weeks ago I dont see the board allowing any significant outlay this season giving it most likely being BR final one and no UCL guarantee. I know am a broken records but the signings and signal so far back up my theory and before you say it I know most are still on holiday lol

Its not even the fact they're still on holiday its more the fact we have 2 months of the window left. I don't see what enjoyment you're getting out of continually saying that :56:. It's getting really boring, man.

£5m for a player we can sign for free in 6 months would not make sense anyway so I'd see why the board wouldn't sanction that. £2-3m I'd be paying for him.

I just know how the movie will play out. Rodgers with his quality comments then digs galore.

You said all this last season and we spent over £45m over two windows and signed 3 of our most expensive signings in our history.

As above I think you've said this every window on here and we still end up spending at least £20-25m so I'll wait and see.

I just don't see the benefit in saying it. If I recall you said we wouldn't spend more than £10m, you're easily gonna be proven wrong on that probably before the end of July.
