Lenny's transfer policy so far is to buy players with a lot of potential with a good sell on value. Owen would fall out of this remit.

Not for me too many injuries and not the big strong striker that we need!:shamrock:

    Highly doubtful imo

At his peak an excellent striker though very injury prone these days and not really the type of striker we need

He would be a great signing but only on a pay as you play deal which im sure he probably wouldnt accept as he will have offers from others in England or maybe abroad. If fit he would still do a great job up here and his experience could be vital. Dont see it happening but would welcome it if possible.

would only take Owen if we sell Hooper, his experience in europe will be vital for us, but we need a big hefty target man first.

Lets get this right he has played at the highest level both club and for england he is only 32 and we have a very import euro campaign ahead where we dont have proven strikers at that level. I would take him but he wont come

I think people are just jizzing themselves because Michael Owen is a big name. That's all he is now, he's a decent player when he actually plays but he's always * injured, we have no need for that in our team. Besides Hooper is a much much better player than Owen anyway.

Hooper better than Owen? I think you might be living in cuckoo land.

i would actually agree, at this moment in time anyway hooper is much better. 14 years ago maybe not but he certainly is now, owen hasnt done anything for a good few years now and he hasnt always been injured.
saying that i wouldnt mind owen on £30,000 a week pay as you play basis.
