Turns out MN is a puppet but also sympathise with Rodgers
MN has been knowingly out his depth since day one. He's found a friend in Rodgers and Rodgers knows he's trying his best?
MN becomes the mole for Rodgers? DD sees this and isn't happy?
DD instigates the hit piece and tries to line things up to suit his narrative, flaws and all in the logic but he goes in both barrels loaded and misses every target he aims at.
Rodgers leaves, Kennedy and others walk out of safe jobs in support.
MN then walks in support as well? Or DD at least sees MN as the mole to Rodgers and relieves him of duty?

There's a narrative of internal wars and picking sides to be made in all of this, if it's true MN is gone too.

What remains, regardless, is DD and PL with a burning castle all around them.

They'll die on their hill before they give the club up.
We just need to make sure we get in to fix it before they completely * the club over.

Any PLC or board member must be 100% announced to LSE first. Manager used too also but not any more as it isn’t corporate governance

My feeling is you’re not miles off with this. The only thing I know about MN is he’s a nice guy. I think he tries to bridge the gap between the manager and the board (be that Lawwell/Desmond/whoever)

He won’t walk away from this job though. There’s far too much money in it. Assuming your theory is right he needs to demand more authority to work with the manager.

 

A smarter man would be able to draw parallels with the fall of the Soviet Union but I'll need to make do with pointing out that Desmond has a big tache and so did Stalin

Not a * comment from a Ceo or Chairman, they let the Irish equivalent to Susan boyle release a defamatory statement when he is a shareholder and * all else. We need them to be asked why this was allowed to happen and what or who gave DD the right to release that. Chairman and ceo should also resign .

I don't even know how I feel about Nicholson overall.

I've heard he's a really nice guy. I think he's also one of those guys you find in corporate jobs that's far too laid back and thinks being friendly with everyone will get you by. Like you'll never actually get sacked and can just float about with the corporate jargon and collect your salary.

It works in corporate jobs, it doesn't work in football clubs.

In the back of my head, I remember the comments from the fan meeting were he made out there's actually very few people unhappy and we'd actually had a good summer. I can imagine him being infuriating as * to deal with in the weeks leading up to the UCL qualifiers, with everyone telling him we need people in and him acting like everyone is a panic merchant. Well who's * panicking now *? Maybe should've worked a wee bit over the summer instead of fannying about.

 

Had a post it note on his wall reminding him on fan engagement too. Seemed on top of it all.

 

We need some drastic change at the top of this club. Something to indicate that we won’t continue with ruining our reputation. I can’t think of any manager with ambition who would work for this board under these conditions, that’s why I think Ange is a non starter tbh.

Reputation is everything here. When we are flying in Europe the whole world celebrates the noise we make but when we are shown up for having no ambition and forward plan it takes the joy away completely. Sometimes managers want to enhance their reputation by taking on a challenge but I honestly cannot fathom who in their right mind would accept given the bigger picture and likely outcome with this board.

I can’t see the distain towards the board ever improving, only getting worse to the point that they seriously consider it. DD acting as if he and Brendan had it out at Brendan’s house in front of the fire and that Dermott won the argument hands down. As if the supporters don’t know enough ins and outs, that’s how they continue to manipulate us by pretending we don’t know what we are talking about. I’m * fed up with it.
