Definitely. I'd love to see us signing a big tall athletic type DMF for Europe and against the huns. Do that Michael and I will be more than content

Get Souza (LTB), Itakura (LTB) or Thiaw (LTB) and Larsson on a free and we're looking like a really good squad that could do some damage in Europe.

Need to punt Jullien, Ajeti, Boli, Soro, Shaw, Urhoghide and Johnston. That'd bring in £4m+. I'd like to get rid of McCarthy but I can't see us punting him yet, unfortunately. Probably next summer at the earliest.

I think there has been so much spending partly because we’ve got champions league right away. Genuinely I think we’d have thought much better of Peter Lawwell if we’d ever automatically qualified for the groups. Without that it’s a lot harder to get deals over the line (can’t help but read that in Neil Lennon’s voice)

I agree with that, there is a lot less risk because previously they could have spent big and still not qualified.
However Lawell will take flack for bringing in Lennon permanently, and rightly so.

I want to praise Michael Nicholson so far for his tenure as Celtic CEO. He is doing a fantastic job so far.

Backing Ange Postecoglou in January to securing the league title. Superb signings in O'Reilly and the Japanese trio.

Backing Ange by allowing him to reshuffle the coaching staff and bringing in Harry Kewell his compatriot this summer.

    Bernabei from Argentina.

    Jota!! Vickers!!

£17.5 million spend. Keep building the revolution Michael. Its a hard task to get those in the club off of payroll as well from the Lawell biscuit tin era. And jobs for the boys.

    Hail Hail.

THE 42 member clubs of the Scottish Professional Football League have today elected the seven club representatives who will serve on the SPFL Board for the forthcoming season at the league’s Annual General Meeting.

The SPFL Board includes three cinch Premiership representatives, two from the cinch Championship and two covering cinch League 1 and cinch League 2, one as an alternate director.

Elected members will serve on the 2022/23 SPFL Board, alongside SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster, chairman Murdoch MacLennan and independent non-executive director Karyn McCluskey.

From the cinch Premiership, Michael Nicholson (Celtic), Ron Gordon (Hibernian) and James MacDonald (Ross County) have all been appointed.

From the cinch Championship, Les Gray (Hamilton Academical) and Graeme Mathie (Ayr United) have been appointed.

And from cinch League 1 and League 2 Alastair Donald (Forfar Athletic), Alternate director – Paul Hetherington (Airdrieonians).

Have to say I totally disagree with The Celtic Blog's Article on this guy. I am quite happy for him to quietly go about his business and let Ange do the media, and he can focus on running the club well and getting the new players in and the unused squad players out. Good Work to date Michael.

Absolutely agreed. It looks like this Nicholson is doing well at his job but he shouldn't really be in the public eye. It's the managers job to interact with media, fans etc
