To be totally honest it really does not matter what we think. If TM signs any player and they go on to prove very successful and we win the league for years to come then TM will be compared to Big Jock. If he signs them and they are massive flops then we will be asking for his head. It really is that tight a line. Therefore let him sign who he wants, try and back them as much as possible and let them either succeed or fail. Only time will tell

TBH He doesn't look any better than Anthony Stokes, who Hibs got for next to nothing.

2 millions is daft, Lewandowski is going for about 3ish.

Canny see this happening - if it does this promising transfer window has taken a nose dive.

Not too keen on this TBH. Chopra's form is up+down like a bipolar sufferers mood. He's not even getting much game time for Cardiff by the sounds of it.

Yep that would seem an arseways way of improving the team lol

Regardless of who we get in i don't think McDonald should be sold anyway,i think we have yet to see the best of him (despite his great 1st season) he has an instinct to score goals it's just the current squad isn't working properly but it will come together as shown in the auld firm match.

Dammit..meant to quote Englishbhoys post(#48),but ah well both have similar point of views.

PS Englishbhoy..under no circumstance would i take boyd..not in 1 million years. Forget the fact he can't score in high profile games..he is ugly he has probably got a lot of dry skin that smells like raw jobby and most importantly he looks like a rangers player and that would kill all our bhoys chances of going on the pull..it's not on man.

Really don't want to see Chopra at Celtic. Not a bad player but we need to look for players who might be able to cut it in the Champions League and he definitely won't. We wasted £3 million buying Loovens. Don't want to see us waste another couple of million on a player who is no better than what we have already.

I know what you mean, this guy would not cross the devide for starters he did not want to leave rangers in the last transfer window and the hun management wanted him out,if i was him i would leave after what they did and test myself down the road but for some reason i dont think he has the baws

Put it this way: Would boyd cut it in the championship , no. But in the SPL he is the league's top goal scorer ever.
We cant really judge him until we have seen him play in our team, i mean who thought skippy would turn out to be good when we first got him?

was always excited when we where pursuing him as i knew he had an instinctive style to his play that excited me,ok he hasnt had the best of form and could do with honing his sharpness but do not under estimate his contribution over a season or what is still to come when he has that perfect partner.

as for boyd this really is a non starter Miller was an exception IMO mainly due to playing for the shirt he wears rather than team preference boyd is an out and out Rangers fan who simply would not join Celtic for all the hate filled reasons huns are known for.. even if he was a world beater there's no way i would even consider it based on his professionalism and hatred he has for us.. much in the same way i wouldn't accept laugherty because it's also clear he has issues with what we stand for..

:50: Well said mate, if we can't get our top targets now.

Keep the cash and wait till the summer, or push the boat out and sign them now, whats the point of spending over 1m on someone for the sake of it, chopra is not any better than what we have and similar in style to what we have, for every 1 good game he has 5 bad ones.
We need a striker with real presence who takes no * from defenders ( Giroud would of been ideal imo). We also need a striker with composure and pace (lewandowski would also be a good option). Both need decent goal scoring records as well.
