Once again we are playing at walking pace, looking petrified to go forward or pass forward.
Taking a shot at goal - * no.
No positivity or willingness to take a risk or responsibility.
Anxiety spreads through the team like a disease.
At least Yang had a go.
The slow, sideways and backwards passing are heartbreaking to watch.
We seam to be so, so weak and passive mentally.
Everyone is looking to others to play the forward pass, or shoot - basically passing the buck.
We didn't even press as well as Karait tonight.
If I see our so called captain pass it sideways/back when the forward pass is on and then have the audacity to point at others to tell them where to play the ball once more.:31:
Honestly, it's unacceptable - take some feckin responsibility.
There needs to be a total clear out of the mentality weaklings and bring in better players that are more positive and have bigger personalities as well as being very good players.

Out current attacking options were never gonna steam roll anyone. Utter garbageMorcombe likes this. -

The fact no one is even showing for throw-ins all game says everything. I've noticed this in SPL games and rangers games in particular. We cannot handle pressure and even when there is none, the passive backwards passing invites it on ourselves. That is down to Rodgers for me.

The passive, weak nature of our play also makes us incredibly easy to play against.
They clearly watched Huns games from last season too.
Man mark our midfield, we simply can't deal with it -
It’s not a mentality problem, we’re playing our 3rd choice players as starters.
It’s as simple as that guys.
We all know we needed new players in to lift the squad, add depth and replace the quality we lost. It hasn’t happened, now we need to face the consequences.
We don’t have the luxury of a mentality problem. -
Mentality of the whole club is wrong. We don't act like a champions league club but get all giddy and pat ourselves on the back for getting there. It's a trickle down effect and the people at the top set the wrong standards with their approach to European football.
Happy to be the big boys in Scotland bullying the diddy teams but won't show some ambition to lay a glove on the prize fighters.
It's maddening. -

Mentally, the team are showing signs of concern regarding the conflict between Rodgers and the board. CCV and McGregor don't make glaring mistakes often.
-
Rodgers needs to address that. We are far too predictable/passive, particularly in midfield. Wouldn't mind us looking to invert more too, but that doesn't suit Tierney.JamesM09 likes this. -
I feel like the attitude of the board this summer has put everyone into a sort of depression and a malaise. No one can be bothered, no one can lift themselves for matches.NomDePlum likes this. -

Absolutely lack of quality. We now need a striker, two wingers, left back and possibly a right back.
Never going to happen, unfortunately. Sick of this board. -
Do we need higher quality players too, yes absolutely across front 3 especially.
But I think we do have some high quality players technically - we have shown it on occasion in UCL last season too - Leipzig, Bayern etc
But even those better players all too often shrink into a shell terms of their positivity and taking responsibility when it gets tough (Kairat, Zagreb, Young Boys)
That's a mentality problem.
It's been an issue for the last few seasons, not just this one.
Our captain talked about the anxiety spreading from the crowd - that's very worrying if he and his team (including the better, more experienced players) can't get through that.
Is it only the players fault or an attitude also fostered by an possession obsessed coach - well never know but is has to be addressed.Last edited: Aug 21, 2025 at 9:50 AM -
Probably why we let Tillio go.
