The big fella passed away yesterday. I always had a soft spot for his work with Jim Steinman.

Gutted. Love his music and obviously Steinman writing. The other year I heard a song in the newsagents by Air Supply called "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" and took note. Checked it on YouTube later and right from the off I was thinking this sounds like it should have been a Meatloaf song and sure enough looking into it, the song was written for him and all set but there were issues where the record label or something wouldn't pay what they wanted so it went to Air Supply.

Meatloaf though, his music was a big part of my childhood and some of the hardest times of my life. Am away to give him a listen.

    How old was he?

Sad day though, great entertainer as folk have said.

Will be sticking a few tunes on for the drive home later.

74 apparently which came as a surprise, I always thought he was younger than Springsteen(72).

    Gutted, another legend gone.

Music was iconic, also loved him in Fight Club movie.

Said to my old man recently that all our heroes of music and film will probably be checking out over the next few years. Already started with Bowie, Lou Reed , Charlie Watts and Lemmy and over the next good few years we could see a lot of the legends heading upstairs.

At least we had icons like this, kids nowadays in 40 years time they will be mourning the likes of Bieber and Little Mix...what a difference that is to the legends we have in the last 50 years.

    RIP

He was in some series on Netflix or Apple TV. Kinda ghost story, he was actually quite good in it.

Edit Ghost Wars it was called
