    Im not to sure about this deal guys. Apparently a loan, This is not a good deal for Celtic. I thought last season Newcastle bid 5mil for mick why is a load with view to a 2mil deal good for us. I would wait for the prem league club to come in. I think we could then maybe get 3mil which I would accept although still be unhappy. We are talking about the Scottish national captain here. A loan to a championship club with a view to a 2.5mil deal. Come on

    well im gonna be the odd one out here and say im going to be gutted if the big guy goes? i think the man is a good solid defender who gets too much * at times tbh! most of it not down to him may i add! but if he does go? i wish him all the best and i hope celtic get good money in return also.

    I totally agree mate. He is the guy who held our defence together over the last 4 seasons. I really dont see why the fans chose him as a whipping boy. His second season he was put forward as a player of the season contender and then he gets slated the start of the nxt season!!

    It also has came out now that he has been playing through an injury for the last 18 months. Really he should have probably left us short and saved himself all this grief. But thats what Captains do!

    As much as I wouldnt have him before Loovens, Odea or caldlwell, and dont rate him, I dont think a loan deal is worthwhile for the club. It would need to be a permanent transfer were we could use the money to improve the team, no point in sending him out on loan imo.

    The fact that he's the captain and Mowbray is willing to let him go out on loan is a sure sign that Mowbray does not want him.

    McManus would be better concentrating on getting himself a good move now.

    Its on SSN that he is staying put. McManus wouldnt wanna take a step down to the championship. I think he and loovens should be out main centre half pairings anyways.

    Hes twice the player caldwell is not to mention hes not motivated by money as what caldwell seems to be. :38:
