hardly jumping on a band wagon this season .he has been rank in the majority of games since hes been in the first team he has no strenght against a big centre forward and very rarley wins a header when defending he has no leadership qualities cant pass a ball( and thats the main reason wgs dosnt play balde)has no real pace cant read agame all in all he is partick thistle class and should be chased

the problem doesnt lie with him the problem is our fullbacks they are not doing their
jobs properly and what i mean is for one look how many crosses the oppositian are getting into the box.
they should be stopping that from happening but they dont so blame them....../
our ch`s are not getting much cover from them and also dare i say it our keeper
he * up a lot of high balls ito the box instead of commanding his area and taking

Thats what I'm talking about, every week, somebody is the worse player in the squad. How are opinions suppose to taken seriously when there are threads every week on one of the first team being absolutely *.

To benchmark, Absolutely * at Celtic's current level is the likes of Du Wei and McManus is far better than him. To slate a player on one or 3 performances over 3 years being a regular is ridiculous. I didnt see anyone complain about him when he scored a brace against Hearts on New Years Day 3 years ago, he's still the same player he was then just more experience and more responsiblity.

 

McManus is at best AVERAGE, and at worst a complete liability.

He is NOT going to get any better, that's for sure.

Caldwell is blatantly trying to cover for McManus all the time, and it's becoming a joke.

The captaincy has caused the problem in the first place.

The manager hopefully knows that he needs to drop him, but knows the way it will look and possible effect on McManus.
After all, you don't see a captain getting droped very often.

It is plain for all to see (except those who don't want to see it, probably because McManus is a "Celtic" man.

We WILL continue to leak goals with McManus in the team.

The only question is for how long ?

This thread was not started to bash McManus. In my opening line I said

"I personally dont feel he is anywhere near as bad as the bandwagon that is starting to pick up steam is making him."

This was about the reality that in my opinion, because he is Strachans choice as captain, that he will not be dropped or stripped of his captaincy as some are calling for.

Was my last post referring to you that you felt the need to quote yourself?? My comment was a generalisation of what's observed by all the regulars of this forum, alsybhoy sees it too and I was just agreeing with him.
