Would be * off if we sold him, hes better than most of the mediocrity that we have. It would also kill the boards saying that we are not a selling club that sells our best players

 

It will be funny to see how this story pans out after the old firm game, especially if mcgeady scores a winner :icon_mrgreen:

You only need to look at the front page of the papers to see that its not just the sports sections that are biased so * them, when one of them comes out and confirms it ill believe it.

I was listening on radio clyde and apparently the story broke from someone in the dressing room... i mean come on to f*ck.... another player or member of staff leaking a story like this to the scottish press???

I think the club are wanting to cash in on him, they done exactly the same thing with petrov remember !!! new contract then off in a few months to villa

 

They are putting all the "core players" on long term contracts. Caldwell is getting a 5 year, Boruc and McDonald have already signed one. Strachan wants to keep these players together so they gain experience together.

It's a discipline issue and will be dealt with by the club. McGeady can't win. He might not accept that, and being 22 could spit the dummy and then we're in a situation where he'll either not play or he will be sold. But whatever happens, no one should think he's a hero. This whole sad incident is down to his inability to take it from his manager.He's s great wee player, but he has to accept that Strachan is the boss and he has the right to tell him what to do. Sorry, but thta's how it works.

I know he's a wee nyaff at times but he does have lots of qualities and is exciting to watch

Murdo MacLeod said the same thing on Radio Scotland last night. I'm pretty sure he'd still have enough contacts inside Parkhead to exactly what happened.

What's WGS supposed to do? Not shout at them after the performace they put in against Hearts? I'm just suprised WGS didn't just batter the wee fud.

We have all played with players like that, guys that can't take any criticism.

I don't want him to go but he has not put in any big performances this season compared to last and you'd be hoping at his age that each year would be better than the previous one. A shame because if we sell him now we'll probably only get half what we'd have gotten in the summer.

 

i dont buy this nonsense that strachan doesn't have a clue, the man is capable of tactical genious, his decision is final.No player is bigger than the club, mcgeady has to understand that strachan is the boss.
