Ha - yes indeed, Mr Leckie always seems to have some cunning excuse, and then - when there is no possible comeback or rationale - he disappears! Like magic! Me and Hammer too have been involved in e-mail "debates" with him; i use the word "debate" very loosely, as he isn't the brightest of sparks.

Lafferty's challenge on Zheng Zhi was a disgrace, and i would like to think both that challenge and Grampa Weir's one on McDonald will be viewed by a review panel - with actions taken in the aftermath. If Loovens is up for it, then they must be too if the system is to be transparent and consistent.

Any other result would make a mockery of the process.

You can say all you want about McCoist. But when we look at the celtic team of Sutton, Hartson and Bobo we had power and pain to dish out. Sutton was brilliant at stealing a few yards and bullying his apponent. We were shy and pish off the mark. McManus is a passenger end of and passengers get hurt. Thats what I was told at under 12 football. McManus had made 7 40 yard passes from deep in our own half. Something he and Gary like to do. Except McDonald was on his own and having to compete against Papac and Weir(Who should have been sent off for a start 2 yellow cards and a penalty decision) Celtic are lacking leadership and Mowbray has to put up with what he has until Jan. Get McManus out te *! He doesnt scare me and I wouldnt have any respect for him if I was playing against him. Bobo would have put the fear of * into you and had a presence. McManus has none of the desirable qualities of a captain. Loovens is a tryer and does a good enough job if he had a steady partner and run in the team.

As for McCoist, fair play to him, we didnt * step up to the mark and he saw that. Id have did the same and then some. Get stuck into him hes a numpty and he wont bother you rest of the game. McManus never draws first blood. As for Lafferty, well he is an eejit that Rangers are just using now and again. To think we were going to buy him. He is actually useless. When he came on I wasnt that bothered and neiither must mccoist if hes asking him to do stuff like that. Then he feigns injury AGAIN in the corner? I wish Craig Burley or Paul Lambert were still around or even Roy Keane. Real * footballers.

I stand by everything I said about him. That was fair enough what he done at Tommy Burns's funeral but that has nothing to do with what went on in the games.

McCoist is one of the nicest people ive ever met. Time for everybody, even Celtic fans like myself, was talking to him for about a half hour when I worked at Cameron house and he is a really down to earth, friendly guy.

That vid proves nothing, but even if he did tell Lafferty to ''go in hard'' on McManus its football ffs, happens all the time.

I really don't get the point of this thread.

What's the OP's point? The Huns are all bad because they go in hard and intimidate our prima donnas who turn over and let the huns roll all over us....FFs, it's football, it's physical and half the battle is intimidating your opponent. Fair play to McCoist for telling any of his players to go in hard. We were weak and lacked a killer touch as per usual and we're easily intimidated. The Huns know they're inferior to us in regard to ability but they're well organised and physical and we just can't deal with it.

Cast your mind back to Barry Robson's second OF game when he went right in on Ferguson early on. Got a yellow for it but anytime he was on the ball after that Ferguson was nowhere near him....job done!

We have no-one in our present team willing to put themselves about and intimidate the opposition. Brown's a headless chicken and doesn't have a clue about how to impose himself in the middle of the park, it's laughable watching him trying to control a game. He really has no idea and as for our defence, they're not just inept, they're weak and a weak CB will always come off 2nd best.

What I would give for this team to pick up a Lennon or a Mjallby or even better, an Aitken type player. Big Roy knew how to impose himself on the opposition and anyone who came within 10yds of him knew they were in a game and more often than not came off worse.

This lot look like they'd bottle out of a pillow throwing contest they're so feeble.

Unless we buck up our ideas from front to back I think we'll see a few more surprises over the course of the season.

This side needs to grow a pair.... fast!

I honestly think this thread is garbage lol...

You're trying to speculate on what Ally McCoist is saying to Lafferty when in actual fact the way his mouth was moving and the hand gestures i think it was more to do with the game of football that was being played at the time and not to send Lafferty out on a hatchet man mission, that's what McCulloch is for.

The fact that McManus was bleeding after the collision is nothing more than bad luck and bad timing for these types of conspiracy theorys to pop up that he was sent on to damage McManus... for all you know Lafferty was just eager to get on the ball for the first time in the game in a pretty advanced position on the field.

    Grow up lads.

Don't mind Ally McCoist, he's just a Hun we've all probably got pals that are the same.

From a tactical point of view he's quite right to tell his players to go in hard. It's exactly what MO'N's teams did and it worked for us for years!

If our team are a bunch of * and can't handle it it's their own * fault

My uncle has been close friends with Rosemary Burns for a long time and she told him the situation.Celtic paid for the funeral and Celtic chose who was to carry the coffin.Don't you think it's a bit strange that none of Tommy's life long pals carried him?

i dont think mccoist is a * for apparently telling Lafferty to go and have a go at McManus. If the shoe was on the other foot and Peter Grant told Samaras to get stuck into one of their lads who looked ropey, we would all say it was a great plan. Its an Old Firm, a massive game, he saw a weakness and looked to exploit it. Thats what its all about. Its McManus' issue if he cant handle a * skeleton like that *. we lack a presence, pure and simple. Its easy to say "Bobo wouldnt have had that etc" but its true. we need an imposing, no nonsense centre half. we were weak on Sunday and our lack of fight is a major concern.
but dont take out our flaws on a coach doing his job, thats a hun thing to do.
