Been a bit too one paced at this level for me..

Good player. A lot of quality but he's overhit far too many ball's in the final third over the 6 games..

Gets overrun a fair bit. I know he's no a 6 and learning so he gets cut slack for that..

Not a 6 at this level, at least not yet. He's shown glimpses over the campaign and will get better. Though I'm sure he'll have an eye on leaving, I actually reckon another season here after this one would do him a lot of good.

Been clear for weeks he shouldn’t be in that sitting mid position. Far better as an 8.

I was watching him closely today, he's got a lot of learning to do. I know he's more risky with his passes but he gives away a lot that he really shouldn't.

Will be interesting to see how he develops over the next year or two. Not sure he has it in him at this level though..

Has to be far better in possession when playing as a 6, can play those risky passes when playing at 8 or 10

Personally thought he was good tonight, few slack passes but he’s very good in the tackle and intercepting passes.

In a more composed team he would stand out as an excellent player same as hatate .

Thought he was excellent and he’s learning sharply at this level.

Easy to forget his age given his stature and his maturity levels.

It's a learning process, he's got the technical ability, no question about that.

Thought he played well and so unlucky tonight. Think most on here are far too critical of him as a 6, I think he's got potential there. Wins headers, tackles well and generally moves ball well. Against real madrid and didn't look too bad ffs....considering our open style.

And the level he's operated at. A year ago he was playing against Cheltenham, Morecambe and the like, a million miles away from Real Madrid. Likewise, Hatate, Maeda and Kyogo were playing in Japan, Abada Israel, CCV on loan in the Championship. These are important players in our team. With that in mind, it would have been pretty remarkable had we actually managed to progress with this squad this early in their development. Not that that makes it any less gutting that we didn't!

He's a good player, but he's been off it for a while. He's lucky that Mooy/Turnbull aren't really up to much and Abilgaard isn't fancied either otherwise I'd be dropping him once McGregor is back.

Thank * for those late goals. We just aren't getting enough going through the centre and our tempo is all to pot and that comes from our pivot. Sooner Cal is back and Matt can drop forward again the better. Also need him to strengthen his legs, swear my granny kicks with more power.

Aye he put the ball in for Kyogo but I'm meaning his overall play. It's clearly off to me..

Nowhere near as good as it has been at his best..

Think the world cup break will do him good..

Honestly would be inclined to play Taylor in the middle and push O’Riley on one. We’re not dynamic enough in there at the moment

O’Reilly in the holding mid position is hindering the team and himself. Either get Abildgaard upto speed or try Hatate in there.

I don't get the criticism he's been getting recently, I think he's done very well in Cal's absence. Good game today.
