Wouldn't read too much into him mentioning specific sides, as he's unusual for a footballer with how open he is when talking to the media. Unlike most who just give the most basic, vague answers, he always seems to speak honestly and in a way that seems off the cuff. A lot of the insight we've gotten into the dressing room under Ange has been through him answering various questions in the sort of detail that others don't go into.

Besides, every footballer with an agent is going to know which clubs are interested in them and what enquiries have been made. As long as he continues to give everything while he's here and keeps improving (and eventually nets us £25 million+) that'll do.

We got him because of how driven he is, he has a plan to make it to the top, he clearly likes us as well but he’ll force a move through if he thinks it’s good for his career. That’s what he done with Fulham to MK Don’s and MK Don’s to us.

But that for me, also makes me think he’ll not jump at the first opportunity, he’ll go for the one he thinks will improve him as a player the most.

Couldn't give a * if he name drops tbh. He'll go in the future for mega money.

I'd like him for another season though.

First time in years where I'm at the stage where I trust the recruitment so much that I have complete faith in the manager and the scouting team to find excellent replacements for all of our top players.

If someone comes in and puts £20m plus on the table for him? We are never turning that down. It's just not going to happen. We aren't going to risk losing £18.5m profit on a player. No way. I like him but I have complete faith in Ange that he could be replaced comfortably for a good fee. He's going to be an excellent player but he's not irreplaceable. I think him and JJ are probably certs to leave in the next two windows and it will net our club upwards of £35m. We bought both of them for £4m. You're making nearly 9 times that with the sales. Imagine who Ange could bring in with them sort of fees.

Complete faith as I said. Provided these guys don't start downing tools like what happened during 2020 or causing unrest in the dressing room, absolutely no problem with them.

Absolutely scary to think of the of the money we would generate from some of our sales. CCV, JJ, Hatate, O'Riley, Abada and Jota are all going to be going for £15m plus. You then have guys like GG, Turnbull and Kyogo who could be going for £10m comfortably. Don't think I've seen us have so many sellable assets that high, all at once.

    The future is bright indeed.

    JJ: 15-20 mill
    O'Riley: 20+ mill
    Jota: 25-30 mill
    Abada: 20 mill

I'd rather keep them for 5 years of unmatched European success.

Unless it's ange reinvesting. He just replaces anyone with someone better :56:

I have 100% confidence that Ange can get even better talent without investing more than 4-5 million per player :50:

Frightening how good he is at spotting a player

Aye the way I look at that is pretty much where I would be at. Jota will go for the largest fee in scottish football. It will be £30m plus. No doubt about it.

Abada and O'Riley are the biggest assets after that. Comfortably making us £20m plus.

JJ, Hatate and CCV are probably about the £15m mark. With add ons.

It's £100m worth of talent. Not including people like McGregor, Turnbull, Kyogo, GG, Jenz, Taylor, Ralston etc.

Absolutely crazy. I really think he can do like a Ten Hag/Ajax thing with us and get us pushing into later stages of European competitions. I know it may take us a couple of years but I really feel like he could do that.

That’s the key next step, properly reinvesting the money from player sales. Pistol Pete had a great chance to do that years ago but instead kept using the scatter gun approach for buying players between £2-4M.

O’Reilly will likely go end of this season or next, so if we can get that young Israeli mid in for £8M then we can have him settled in ready.

I agree. Even though we are all buzzing right now, i think that we are in for history changing stuff. I think we will become as good as Ajax not just for a few seasons, but for the long term. The tricky one is that we might need to sell those players above while they are on long contracts to fund this project and get to that next level but i think that would be worth it.

This is the way you do things. Since Ajax have started demanding mega money for their stars, it's meant that they have been able to go and recruit players, in the same position, for huge money. So, this year they sold Antony, Haller and Martinez for £170m combined. A winger, a striker and a centre back. They went out and spent 1/3rd of that on replacement players. Bergwijn, Bassey and Brobbey. Bassey and Brobbey are 20 years old. Bergwijn didn't make it at Tottenham but he's still only 24. They're so smart. It also allowed them the opportunity to strengthen in other areas where they thought they were maybe weaker. So they let go of Tagliafico for £4m but spent £9m replacing him with Wijndal. Tagliafico was 29 years old. Wijndal is 22. They're just so smart with their money. It's the sort of thing we should be doing. Jota goes for £30m, we should be finding a decent replacement at like £10m. O'Riley goes for £22m, we should spend £7m on replacing him. The guys we bring in should be young, hungry. The same way they do it.

The whole team is off form arm, but if it wasn't for injuries I'd be dropping him for a bit.

On his day he's a very, very good player, but he's done next to nothing in the last few games.

Needs to up his game again.
