Leicester aren't in a great position financially at the minute as far as I'm aware. Can't imagine they'll be spending big on O'Riley or anyone else unless they sell first. There's talk of Maddison going to Saudi-on-Tyne so it may be they want him as a replacement. Even if this is the case I can't imagine we would agree with only a week of the transfer window left, be too much of a rush to get the deal done and bring a replacement in.

No chance we would. We have the champions league in a group more than capable of getting out of. Last 8? You never know. Then we're talking £40m a player.

    Unpopular opinion

If we receive a big offer for O'Riley, I'd be willing to sell. Reminds me a bit of Ntcham (or Rogic): skilful player, but rather slow and unable to press the ball. Porto offered us £13.5M for Ntcham in 2018. We turned them down, only to let him walk last summer.

Lethargic players like O'Riley, Ntcham and Rogic are perfect for slow-tempo domestic games, but I don't think we can rely on them in Europe. The way Ange wants us to play, we need box-to-box midfielders in the mold of McGregor and Hatate.

Alternatively, I'd try to transform him into a deep lying playmaker. If he were surrounded by two industrious midfielders, his lack of pace wouldn't have been a big issue anymore. Not sure whether he can pull it off, but it may be worth a try. Again, I fully realize this is an unpopular opinion.

His biggest assest is his creativity, defence splitting passes and generally just creating chances in the final third. Being a deep lying playmaker would totally nullify that.

I think Ntcham's issue was his attitude. I can't see O'Riley falling into that trap.

Deep lying playmakers do exactly that. Only difference is they receive the ball a bit deeper instead of further up front. Plenty of players started their career as attacking midfielders but thrived in a deeper role. First name that comes to mind is Pirlo.

O'Riley is rather tall. At the very least, he'd be perfectly suited playing right in front of CCV and Starfelt/Jenz on the defensive side of the ball. We'd have one more player battling for headers, sort of like a third centre half when we are defending. For instance, this is pretty much what Bitton was doing (another tall, lethargic midfielder).

Every * is for sale for the right price. I just doubt anyone could afford/want to pay what we would be asking for any of our stars going into a nice CL group.

Take any of these rumours with a pinch of salt. No doubt there'll be teams looking at him but there's no chance he starts for Liverpool or anything like that at the moment.

Dortmund wanted him before he came here so could see that. But it won't happen yet.

As for selling him due to lack of pace, it really would be madness. Pace isn't the be all. You will struggle to find a player with his technique for the same price.

Madness to sell him this late in the window with Rogic gone and UCL round the corner and not a hope of replacing him with simmilar quality player before window closes. Which means our board will probably do it.

All these rumours are just Hun media malicious pish. He came in January and is loving it at the Club. He has CL football to look forward to where he has a chance to showcase himself for selection in the Danish World Cup Squad.

Lad is not going anywhere. The fee mentioned is fairly reasonable to his time here so far but another two seasons and he is consistent and developing then we can be demanding more money from the Cash Cow EPL. I * hate it when Leicester, Newcastle or Southampton come in sniffing but it is not the club we lose them to but the inflated product of that League. As for Wolfsburg or Lille? GTF!

Looking at £25m minimum to get us to come to the table.

We don't want to sell or need to. He's on a long term contract.

I can't see it. No doubt he has suitors though.

No point in even debating this. If we get a big enough offer then we will accept it and it's as simple as that.

I can't see anyone ready make that size of offer tho

I’d sell him for £30m. We got him for 1.5 so it’s a massive profit we can’t really afford to miss out on.

Well, we are rumored to be interested in Ross Barkley. Highly doubt we can afford his wages unless perhaps we sell O'Riley. Obviously, this is pure speculation on my part. Chances are we'll keep O'Riley. Don't think we have an incentive to sell. There are always options though. I mean, personally speaking I've never heard of Haksabanovic prior to this summer. Our scouting team seems to be doing a great job: O'Riley, Juranovic, Jota, the japanese guys, I could go on and on... All these players were under-the-radar targets.
