Don’t mind Matt leaving, think we can find better and reinvest the surely big fee he brings in if a few clubs want him

Not surprised if O’Reilly goes and to be fair if we get a decent fee then I think we can replace him fairly easily. As long as we keep Hatate.

On last seasons performances I'd not be against Matt leaving, buy would like to see him under our new manager to see how he gets on.

If Brighton are interested then they are about to get between 45/55 million for Alexis Mac Allister so if they want Matt they can pay £20 million.

Now I’m not for one minute suggesting that he is a 20 million pound player but we need to rinse these EPL * for every penny.

He is classed as homegrown so will be worth more to clubs down there who are in Europe like Brighton.

He’s been good but I’d happily see him moved on for £16-20m range

Has been fairly spot on with us recently. Think he had stories on JJ & GG a good bit before they left.

I’ve said on other threads I wouldn’t be against a good few players moving on for decent fees and giving the manager a lot of freedom to bring in quality players.

It worked really well last time.

I don’t want us holding onto players that want to move on if there’s hard cash on the table.

    Have to agree.

I think he would jump at a move away to England or Germany tbh.

I'd happily take that money and reinvest.

He'll be off, as expected. £15-20m would do nicely.

Given the success teams like Brighton have had in the market I'd be wanting to see them work for any celtic player.

Much like others have said, I'm not saying he's definitely, without doubt, a player worth mega money, but want him sold to Brighton for no less than £22 million.

Call it £40 million and they can have Abada too

Can't see us getting anywhere near £20m for him. Anything over £12m and I would take it to be honest. Really liked the look of that Ardon Jashari... could reinvest that £12m and get two, top midfielders and Jashari is available for around £5m apparently.

I'd want a hefty percentage of his next fee in any deal.

Vetlesen seems a decent replacement, too.

£12m plus 15% sell on would do lovely.

Definitely agree on Vetlesen. Jashari and Vetlesen in for the price you sell O'Riley would be incredible business.

Aye i know what you mean he’s probably just heard a wee bit so just covering his * for a few weeks so if anything does happen he can go back to that tweet, he seems to do that.

Had interest in JJ from 5/12 didn’t leave until late Jan. Had GG early Jan like the 5th and didn’t go until February.

He’s been a very good piece of business for £1.5m, I would say any sale should represent at least a tenfold increase in value with a future sell on definitely built in there.

Given his homegrown status to English clubs I would be looking for a little premium on that £15m. Brighton now being in Europe have to think about homegrown players for the first time. They are a team largely built on buying players and loaning them out to other leagues to develop so won’t have a huge crop of homegrown players just now I don’t think.

Homegrown matters for all EPL clubs, Prem has it's own rules on Homegrown separate from Uefa so that status matters for all English clubs

I'd rather keep him for another season.

Overall I'd say he's been pretty underwhelming this season. He frustrates me because there's times where he looks top drawer but his lack of mobility and pathetic shooting is jarring.

With that said he's still young and works ridiculously hard for the team. His defensive skills are underrated and he also creates a lot of chances; this is evidenced by finishing top of the assists charts this season.

I'm inclined to give him another year under a new manager where he isn't running about like Mo Farah every game. I just don't think that's his forte, and it may explain why he looks so languid and knackered in front of goal.

If a team like Brighton is sniffing about he's clearly got something. I'd rather sell O'Riley than Hatate but losing both would be a big blow imo and one I don't think we need to make.
