His loss of form has gone on for a worryingly long length of time now. Ange will have been hoping he would play his way through it but if anything he's getting worse.

Another big chance to stake his claim for a place in the starting XI.

Showed a lot of promise last year.

Some were even tipping him to be our POTS this season. Not an unreasonable prediction.

But he's been very below par for a very long time. Our midfield could do with some serious attention this summer. Would be looking to spend the majority of the budget there tbh.

Its as if hes forgot how to play football, rotten!

Poor season but can’t say I’m worried. You guy with a lot of talent, if still a long way to go.

The guy is too young to have McGregor levels of consistency

I don’t know what’s happening with him. Got off to an amazing start to his Celtic career and now he is up and down all the time.

you can see him trying but I think he is over thinking it all the time and putting too much pressure on himself and it’s showing.

Is it a loss of form or did he just have a wee purple patch when he 1st arrived?

Hes been poor far longer than he was good. He was playing in league 1 when we signed him after all and currently looks like a league 1 player.

At what point does it become less so that it’s a loss of form, and more so that he’s not very good?

He’s been * for a higher proportion of his time here than he’s been good.

Looks every inch the English League One player we signed.

His crippling lack of mobility for someone so young is actually heartbreaking to witness, and it’s only going to get worse.

Its at a point that starting O'Riley or Turnbull makes no difference in terms of physical ability.

At this point, Turnbull probably should be ahead of him as it can be argued he's got more technical skills to help get goals

    * pains me to say but if a championship side can come in with a bid north £7million I'd sell him.

He looked like a real gem when burst onto the scene for us but whatever is going on recently he's just nor lived up to those early expectations.

Both he and Hatate looked * dynamite when they started with us... Hatate being the only one to actually kick on and become so critical to our style of play.

O'Riley unfortunately I don't think would be missed at all.

If we are to be ruthless and strive for success then we should be able to sell O'Riley, Turnbull and Abada in the same window for circa £30million and have faith in Celtic and Ange to easily find replacements

    That could be the case.

Confidence must be at an all time low after todays performance.

I'm puzzled by his drop of form.
His body language gives away the impression something's not quite right.
    Perhaps some personal issues?

Sometimes he seems to be deprived of energy, sweating a lot despite not moving particularly much...
    Dunno.
I like him and I still hope he'll find the spark again.
Unless it's some health related *...

Turnbull in last year of his deal and O'Riley has been poor all season. Do well to get 10 for the pair. No chance we would get 20 for abada. 10-12 tops id think

I don't know if he's good enough to play more advanced. His future is probably as a deep lying playmaker.

He hasn’t been poor all season, people are being harsh as * on him. He stepped in for Calmac brilliant and it seemed to derail his season a bit when he’s moved back to his more natural position.

Before he moved to cover McGregors injury, he was on fire. It’s why he’s still top of the assists for us.

He’s still a young guy as well, he’s 22. Younger guys will have a slump, they will have periods of bad decisions and confidence being sapped. As a fanbase, if we want to get in promising younger players, then we need to accept that and not go for the throat of them when they play like young developing players do. We do the same to Abada that.

Honestly mate, for a younger player, who’s changed positions for a while to step in for our captain in the deeper midfield position for a good 10/15 games… he has 11 assists, the most in the team, 1 more than Mooy who has 10 who is deservedly infront of him but is ten years older and has the experience and ability to show more consistency when he’s got upto full fitness. For a ‘poor season’, taking the covering Calmac into consideration because it’s a different job, to still be the most creative guy setting up players this season.

Is that actually a ‘poor season’ or is it a slump where he’s not been at his best after moving back further forward, Mooy proving that he can’t be dropped and him coming in and out trying to win a place back, trying to learn as a younger player how to play his way out of a bad patch of form?
