Good player with potential to be very good but he's been off it for a while now and I wouldn't say he's worth a start.

 

Can’t argue with his assists, albeit a lot came at the start of the season but it’s not up for debate that he’s miles off the level we all know he can be at. He’s not influencing games nearly enough and everything he’s doing is far too pedestrian and slow.

Wouldn’t be overly surprised if he moves on at the end of the season, even if I don’t think it would be great timing for either party.

 

I hear that 100%. He's always had that awkward (stuff ) demeanour, can't deny that..

He just looks permanently * off to me now though. Like ridiculously huffy and frustrated in games..

Might just be due to form but he's looked off for ages in my opinion. Something isn't right..

Hopefully he can recapture it..

The player he was compared to a lot in the past was Rogic and while I think they are very different players and characters, they seem to have similar temperaments.
It's worth bearing in mind that Rogic signed for is a just turned 20 year old and was about 23 before he kicked on and we got the best out of him. Matt maybe just needs time to find himself as a footballer and hopefully when he works that out he will still be with us and we can reap the rewards. Because there is a * of a player in there somewhere.

 

Looks disinterested but he'll struggle to find a move to an English club where he gets the minutes he gets here. Needs to up his game if he's after that move.

 

* knows who you are watching, he’s cutting a fairly frustrated figure of late, you can see him trying too hard in a lot of his play and obviously not getting a run of games isn’t helping.

There’s no doubt though that’s anything to do with being disinterested, his workrate often goes unnoticed.

 

Hes been unlucky with the form of Mooy and Hatate who have beeb deserving of their place in the side.

Should be remembered as well that he was being asked to play in a different role when McGregor was out. hopefully he can refind his form an impact games the way we know he can.

 

Needs to up his game.

I really don’t know what is going on with him, great player but has not been producing the goods for 6 months now.

 

I can't fathom why is form has dropped to such an extent. Definitely needs to improve his game

 

Getting close to the can't stand him stage..

Anyone notice how much he moans to his teammates now when something doesn't come off? Despite being one of the worst players at the minute..

Wayward passing
Crossing in the main is poor

Is barely offering a thing and we look much weaker just now when he's in the side..

 

Not sure what the craic is with him, I thought he was a brilliant find at first, but he's really slow at the moment. Really cumbersome. He's not a starter at all for me unless there's no other options, offered very little when he was on.

Not writing him off because we've seen he can be a good player, but it's not happening at all just now.

 

Turnbull and Iwata should be ahead of him at the moment
