Best he's looked in ages

 

Superb when he came on again, great to see him back smiling and looking confident.

 

A liberating moment for him- he's finally scored. With less pressure, he can flourish.

 

Hopefully this goal we'll be a real breakthrough moment for him this season

 

The relief you could see pour off of him when that went in is mental

 

Said it a few pages back he is lacking confidence, needed to get a goal.

Glad he got that goal, looked relieved to finally get it. Hitting form at the right time.

 

Tell you what...getting him back to his best with that neat shot of pure confidence injected into him with the goal, is just amazing timing for the rest of the season

Saw today exactly why spells out of the team can be a good thing for a player.

 

Watch him go from strength to strength after that goal.

 

He needed that game time today and was excellent. Every other time he has come off the bench recently the game had been effectively won and there was a drop in intensity from both sides about the time that he came on which makes it really difficult to have an impact.

It also helped that Hatate (especially) and Oh were the other subs because they added real energy to the performance when they all came on together. The fact the opposition went down to 10 men and were absolutely rooted for the last 15 might have made things a little easier as well.

 

Aye, that was the good thing, had to make an impression as game was a bit up in the air, all three were fantastic.

Not just scoring his overall play was dramatically better. Hatate was just Hatate, when he's on his game he's possibly the most dynamic midfielder in country.

 

Just seemed to have a spring in his step when he came on. Like the few games he has sat out has reinvigorated him.
Back to the Matt we know and love.

 

Some finish. Calm and composed. Brilliant.

 

Great to see him score again. And what a way to do it. Him and Hatate coming on made a huge difference.
