    You are correct ó with a fada does indeed mean from in Irish. It also though means grandson and that is what it means in the context of a name. If you wanted to say grandson as in the actual word in a sentence that would be garmhac. Just as ní is granddaughter in the context of a name while granddaughter in a sentence would be gariníon. Just to complete todays latest lesson as gaeilge the following words also mean from as well as ó we have as, de, amach as and ag all meaning from depending on the context. :36:

    Disappointing he isn't available today, would have been the perfect game to bed him in as there's no chance he starts at Tynecastle.

    Hopefully we're winning comfortably against the diets and he can come on for 30 minutes, then start the game against Dundee United.

    Watched a few of his videos and he has a bit of Rogic style about him. MK Don's fans were raving about him- I have no qualms about him being thrown in against Hearts. He would be the best player in there team if they signed him.
