Huns got Aribo from League 1 years ago and he's easily their best player.

 

Seems highly rated £1.5m surely a steal.

Joe Aribo was the last player they signed from league 1 I think. It is a big difference club to club but if a player does well in the SPL you pay £2 to 3m, league 1 is about the same level.

 

Scott Parker played him as a 6, which O'Riley said he respected, but didn't think it was the best utilisation of his skills, i.e. his ability to get forward and attack. So sounds like he sees himself as more of an 8 slash 10, although watching him ping those long passes from deep, it's hard to know where he's best suited.

 

Just think we're getting the next Dele Alli.. and you'll be alright mate.

 

Ivan Toney was in League 1....we wouldn't pay the fee, he then went on to bang 33 goals in to become Championship Top Goalscorer and now leads the line in the Prem scoring against Arsenal

We'd be mad to turn our nose up at guys just based on the League they're in. By a lot of accounts he sounds like a standout.

Although I was praying we never signed Lee Tomlin under Lennon, a guy I'd literally called a fat * from the terraces at a non league match

 

Fact that he is English aswell means at international breaks he won’t be travelling half way round the world like a lot of the squad and let’s be honest probably won’t be getting a call up from England in the near future which suits us,so get a well earned break and buzzing to go and no worries of an injury- always liked that with scotty Sinclair

This lad really does tick all the boxes in a player we should be signing. No doubt he will be looking at us as a stepping stone but sounds like he will bust a nut to further his career..
