    The part of the post that I replied to was with that statement was:

    "Anyone who doesn't want Odegaard here, for whatever reason considering the guy is a Real Madrid player, is absolutely insane."

    Which is basically saying that no matter what, we should always be interested in signing Real Madrid players regardless of what they bring to the team.

    The poster then goes on to say that one of the things a Real Madrid player brings is exposure for Celtic, at no point did I argue against that -

    I stated that Graveson was a Real Madrid player when we bought him and it was not a good signing, pointing out that being a Real Madrid player is not enough to of a reason to want someone, regardless of the exposure the club may get from it.

    There are many Real Madrid players we could take on loan and loan back at the end of the season who would fall into that category who wouldn't be good enough for Celtic. The whole 'He plays for Real Madrid' thing shouldn't even be a consideration when we are thinking of loaning him.

    No, he's saying we should always be interested in players of Odegaard's calibre.

    He's not you're average Castilla/Real squad player, he's one of the highest paid and highest profile youngsters in world football, from possibly the most famous and successful club the game has ever seen.

    It would be a fantastic deal for Celtic if it happened.
