The reason he is my player of the year is that he has added more style to his play,he has a great engine and contributes to every attack, scored a few important goals into the bargain.he has worked at this so hard and he has passed with flying colours.

now Kayal and izzy are up there but seem to have natural ability and look like they will be player of the year every year ,take into consideration that its there 1st year in scotland, credit has to be given to these 2 men.

Mark Wilson has become the all round team player and shows the abilitiy to be captain at this rate.

take a bow Mark lad :50:

Wilson deserves a lot of credit, he has been great for us. I think bringing Emilio into the team has improved Wilson as he seems to be playing the same way on the other side of the pitch.

Wilson was excellent last night, his crossing display was as good as I have seen in some time from a Celtic full back.

Absolutely delighted to see a good Tim like Mark Wilson finally avoiding injury and doing the business for his bhoyhood heroes. Nothing better to see than that.

limited footballer but i really like the guy, i wouldn't worry too much about anyone trying to sign him, he's a tim and he's got a new contract. if he keeps injury free next season he'll get a 3 year deal instead of 1. great ball for Commons last night. mr consistent.

Honestly I'm torn between him and CHa. If you saw our defense first half of the year time and again Cha was able to hustle back and put in a vital stop whether it be on a last ditch header or just covering a man who'd otherwise be through. Wilson has speed, but as much. However, Wilson is a bit of a better 1 on 1 defender and times his tackles better while Cha uses athleticism to make up for maybe not being the most natural defender.

I wouldn't mind seeing them split shifts at the back, but that threatens our defensive continuity. It's an interesting question i have no answer for.

Cha's absolutely awful. has pace but thats about it, his final ball is very poor and apart from the goal against St Johnstone he's done nothing. he's hardly recogniseable from what i'd seen of him for S Korea.

    Having an outstanding season.

Great engine to get up and down the flanks, and the quality of cross when he gets there is good too.

Remember he came into the side against Dundee Utd at Tannadice and was the best player on the park that day.

Really pleased for Wilson, if not POTY then best improved POTY....looks like the right back position is his and for continuity sake I hope it remains so...

I'm not convinced by Cha defensively, so Wilson is first-choice for me.

Wilson has made improvements to the attacking side to his game but I still think he can improve going forward. He's solid defensively though and it's great to see him playing regularly for us.

For me Wilson has cemented the RB position, he has shown great consistency and proved to be very reliable, it's great to see him enjoying his football playing for the club he loves ........:shamrock:

Wilson had a quality first half last night, the balls he was putting into the box were great.

Wilson certainly has been outstanding for us since getting over his early season injury. Without a doubt his most consistent and impressive form since signing in 2006. I don't see him going anywhere though.
I think the fact that Wilson is a die hard Celt and is finally playing so well is a big factor. You got a real feeling of how happy he was to finally be on such a good run and get the 1 year contract extension. He clearly came over as someone who wanted to play in the hoops as long as he could. I think as well the sheer extent of his injury record over the last few years probably makes other clubs a bit wary. Clearly Celtic were as well hence just a 1 year contract extension with an option for a further year rather then a new longer term 4 year type deal. Hopefully Wilson can stay largely injury free as given his age at 26 if he can we could have one heck of a few years to look forward to from him. We have a lot of good young players in the team right now so having someone who knows Celtic inside and out and is an experienced player on the field is vital.
