great news, hoping for a longer deal tbh but we can always renew it next year again

 

This is a nice little boost ahead of Sundays League Cup Final. Well deserved for Wilson who has been in superb form this season. If he can maintain this form and stay injury free over the next 12 months you would imagine a longer term deal might be on the table come the end of next season.

 

Good news. Been brilliant this season, he knows what Celtic is all about. Was surprised it wasn't a longer deal though..

 

There's an article in The Sun today about how he's okay with a one year extension as he would feel bad if he signed a long term deal and then picked up a long term injury. He wants to prove he can stay fit for a longer period.

But what struck me was this part:

I thought Hinkel's contract expires in the summer?

it does. maybe he was just saying in the past Hinkel had been on a longer contract.

Well deserved and hasnt been too greedy by demandin off the club he loves,hes just happy n proud and one who plays for the shirt on his back the sort of player i admire coz there isnt much of them about nowadays...

With all the talk of Kayal and Izzy getting scouted, anyone else had the thought that with his performances this season the vultures might come looking for Wilson as well? Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's that same class, though I really like him, but attacking fullbacks with touch, pace and a cool head aren't easy to come by. Just a thought.

 

Wilson is not the best on the team, but arguably the most improved.
Added to that Scott Brown is still an imposter!

 

Brown. Imposter? Can't think of where else Willo could go, doubt he'd leave anyways he's one of us.

 

Well Brown is certainly no imposter,I thought he'd proved that to any doubters this season.
Wilson has been terrific,I would'nt be surprised if other teams come hunting but I see him staying.He's a bhoy and I don't know why we'd want him gone,makes sense to keep him imo.

Mark Wilson isn't going anywhere.

I suspect the teams that would be a step up from Celtic would not be interested in him and he is certainly not going to leave us to take a sideways or backwards step because he is a big Celtic fan.

I am so delighted for him that he's managed to steer clear of injury for a while and show the Celtic fans how good he is. Ever since I first saw him play for Celtic I have rated him as a player.
