Wishful thinking at best, mate.

DD is a one of kind football club "owner".

He doesn't use us out if boredom like a billionaire playboy.

He doesn't use us to promote businesses (ex. Etihad, Emirates, Sports Direct)

He doesn't use us to wash his money (Romanov, Abramovic).

And as far as I can see his claims of being a "supporter" are just plain bollocks.

I live in Vietnam, work for comparative buttons, and still fork out out every year for tops, my dad's season ticket, gear for my nephew's etc. Meanwhile our billionaire majority shareholder guards his shares like * Smaug, refusing to give a thin * penny of his own money to fund a single * cone at Lennoxtown.

The only plausible reason he has for still being here is to shore up his portfolio and make his personal asset sheet a bit more diverse.

He's a stone cold *.

And he will NEVER put his hand in his pocket for us.

I'm not sure that is actually the case as he should be considered as an elite athlete. Ange was different as the definition of an elite athlete is someone who competes in the sport, ie the players, not the coaches. I know that was the case in other sports as the athletes had to travel without their coaches to certain olympic qualifying events. I'm just not 100% sure if that covers football as well.

 

I decided to watch a Split match on Youtube to have a look at him since you can't really learn anything about a CB from a highlight vid.
He looks fine defensively but I didn't think he was particularly progressive with his passing and liked an aimless launch if the easy pass to rb or lcb wasn't on. I thought Stefan Simic beside him looked better, a bit more composed and willing to break out of defence and find a forward pass.

Of course that was only one match so hardly a thorough scouting. Has anybody else been watching some matches to form an opinion on him?

 

I'd rather a player launch the ball long if a pass isn't on than try play a ball that 99% won't come off.

We definitely need experience. I would imagine that’s where the Sviatchenko links came from. Vuskovic, Sviatchenko, Julien and Welsh wouldn’t be too bad a defence.

If Crows twitter links there are genuine then it's time to get a teeny but concerned.

Reading that it looks straight from the Lawell playbook of transfer negotiation; we'll pay you more if he plays X amount of league games.

While these types of clauses are certainly not uncommon we should be looking to get this wrapped up asap. The kid is gonna have to get is * sorted, then do quarantine, then get up to speed etc etc.
