Celtic are set to hand young goalkeeper Marcus Gill a new deal, writes Scott Burns.
The Republic of Ireland under-19 cap has been offered a new long-term contract.
Gill is out-of-contract in the summer but talks over a new deal are now at an advanced stage.
The 18-year-old has come through the Celtic Academy and is currently one of their B team goalkeepers.
He had his first taste of football last season on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Celtic believe the youngster can eventually go on and challenge for one of the first-team goalkeeping slots.
