Marc Antoine Fortune

Firstly, I will make it clear that Fortune's past scoring record means absolutely nothing to me and I will not use that against him. We've had guys with good scoring records before who have been rotten and guys who struggled to score have came and did a good job.
Fortune is an awful footballer. Absolutely awful. It is a bad day when I am delighted to see Samaras picked ahead of him, and I spent my whole journey to the game on Saturday worrying about whether he was going to play... as I felt that would determine whether we would win or lose.
His touch is awful, he clearly cannot score goals, he is pathetic in the air for a big man. We've heard all this nonsense about bringing others into play and assisting goals but I don't think I've seen him set up a goal yet.

Fortune doesn't even look interested in my opinion. I fear for January because Mowbray's only decent signing has been the boy N'Guemo... and even with him I'm not 100% sure yet. Fox isn't my cup of tea and Zheng Zhi isn't good enough either. We need a new striker in January.

Hey all,

Just want to congratulate the whole team (except the diddies at CB) today but especially Fortune.

Hes had it stinking the past few months an should defo revel in the praise for such a cracking goal, which lets face it he dug the team and TM out of a hole.

It was a great game and if McGeady doesn't get man of the match it will be an outrage, hopefully we can keep it up and go on a winning streak!

Great goal. I've been one of his critics but I was jumping around the room when he put that in the back of the net. I hope it kick starts his season, although it'll be hard to push Samaras out of the team right now.

I don't want Mowbray completely shifting Samaras now just because Fortune scored one good goal.
