Issue is nothing more than the managers ego and his constant friction with that fat * Lawwell.

The players ability is irrelevant, he wasnt a Rodgers signing so he won't play him it's him trying to send a message to those above him.

The fact he's being binned yet that useless * Scales is a 1st pick bcoz he's Rodgers little pet project is a * joke

I think his lack of pace is a major issue for Rodgers.

I mean he’s a bit on the slower side, and it’s something that will inevitably catch him out at points, but when he has played his positioning/reading of the game has been decent enough that there’s at least some mitigation on that front. His distribution is comfortably better than Scales or Trusty, which you’d think would count for something with how we try to build from the back.

He’s maybe not destined to be the main man, or even a long term option, but the way he’s been utilised (when fit), you’d think he was a complete dud or a bomb-scare. Based on what we’ve seen, I just can’t buy into the idea that he isn’t capable of being in the mix for us.

I get that every manager has their favourites and guys they don’t fancy, but there’s this weird approach from Rodgers where it feels like he’s decided that it’s not happening for Nawrocki and he’s not willing to entertain any evidence to the contrary. If there’s * that’s happened behind the scenes that we’re not aware of, then fair enough, but it’s just bizarre watching a player with a seemingly good attitude put in some notably good performances, after essentially being frozen out, and his reward is to be 1)Immediately be dropped from the remaining games and 2)Be shunted out on a fairly uninspiring loan.

Same here doesn’t have that extra wee bit of pace cause I think he would partner CCV well.

Clearly Rodgers doesn’t rate him as high as others so getting him out the door will be good for him and the club.

Honestly don't think he's as slow as is made out.

He could also surely get a better move than that.

I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as some have made him out to be.

I'd actually like to keep him as number 4 choice.

If he's to go, just get money. Move on and get a first choice in.

Think he's been harshly treated by the manager tbh. On merit he's done nothing wrong when given a chance to play (only ever out of necessity) and was dropped immediately after.

Rodgers has treated him appallingly. And im not saying that out of spite.

Rodgers is known for developing and improving incumbent players, but picking Scales over him is just shocking mismanagement.

Comfortably the best on the ball of all our centre backs, and not as slow as some make out. Certainly no slower than Scales.

Never been given a fair chance.

Nawrocki gives us a threat at set pieces as we saw in the Aberdeen League game and to sell him before trusty or scales is a joke and with Rogers not signed a new contract I would rather keep nawrocki as it looks like we will have a new manager next year.

I thought he was decent the few times he played this season, should definitely have gotten more time. I don't really understand the hard on for Scales, he's passable but feel he's living of some performances from 18 months ago.

Towards the end of the season he should've been Carter Vickers partner he looked much better than Scales and Trusty albeit in a lesser sample size.

The way he's been treated has been strange at best

I think Rodgers has pretty much made his mind up that everyone signed that first summer is not good enough and wants moved on. He will only use them in an emergency. Bernardo on loan, then permanent being the exception.

Maik Nawrocki looks set to leave Celtic on loan this summer, with serious interest emerging from both Poland and now Germany.

Polish side Pogon Szczecin have made their move for the 24-year-old centre-back, confirming their intentions publicly through their sporting director Tan Kesler. He told local media: “We have talked to Maik Nawrocki of Celtic,” making clear the Ekstraklasa club’s pursuit is already underway.

However, CeltsAreHere understands that a German club is also in the mix, with a source close to the situation confirming to us that one side that showed interest back in January has now reignited talks. This puts Pogon on the back foot with Nawrocki favouring a move to Germany.

While some expected a permanent exit this summer after two seasons of very little game time, interestingly, Celtsarehere understands Celtic still view Nawrocki as part of their long-term plans.

With game time limited under Brendan Rodgers, a loan move now makes sense—ideally to a more technically demanding league to aid his development. Some inside Celtic Parkare said to prefer a move to Germany over a return to Nawrocki’s native Poland, believing it would better suit his development at this stage

6th October 2024; Victoria Park, Dingwall, Scotland: Scottish Premiership Football, Ross County versus Celtic; Maik Nawrocki of CelticRodgers was reluctant to let Nawrocki go in January, keeping the defender as cover for his stretched backline. That call proved justified when Nawrocki featured in big matches against Raith Rovers, Rangers, Hearts and Aberdeen late in the campaign. He held his own, but with Celtic now reloading for a Champions League push, opportunities will again be limited if everyone remains fit.

A final decision on Nawrocki’s destination is expected soon as pre-season approaches. But what’s clear is that a loan move now looks more like a matter of when, not if.

Back stronger next summer when there's a new manager who doesn't use players as pawns in his * measuring contest with Lawwell

If this is true, I wonder if Rodgers wants him as a potential CCV successor?
