Its a disservice to Jota to mention Palma in the same sentence. Jota could do it all as a winger, inside, outside, set pieces, crossing, dribbling, flair.

    Jota was levels above.

It's a disservice to keep mentioning a completely different player who played in a far better side..

And let's not act like Jota didn't have dips in form.

In any case, that's up to 9 assists for Palma this season.

Absolutely. Palma contributes to be fair to him but he’s infuriating at times. His corners today were abysmal. He’s too greedy on the ball too.

Greedy how? He's constantly making passes and putting balls in.

The problem is, no one is attacking half the crosses he puts in. I remember him standing one up to the backpost and no one made an effort to get there.

For a guy who can hit a ball like him, his corners were absolutely *, shown up even more when he went off and MOR hit a couple of good ones in....

Another assist, his end product is relentless whether he’s been at his best or not.

Holds on to the ball too long, far too often. It slows the attacks down.

He does sometimes, as do all wingers at times. Wouldnt label a player who is regularly our most creative outlet as greedy though.

Just an observation. He is reminiscent of Commons in his wastefulness.

For what it’s worth I still like him a lot.

Almost everything goes through him, so of course he's not going to be perfect.

Maeda done nothing on the other side and was worse, Palma got an assist and should have got more if we could finish.

Again, he's not as good as Jota, but he was never going to be, let the boy settle.

Will have a lot less put on his shoulders when Abada and Hatate are back. Or another signing.

I honestly think the corners were instructed to be the way they were. Only seemed to be like that from the left in swinging, the right were marginally better.

Aye last few games we've been aiming right on top of the keeper or looking for a near post flick. Not really working, some poor execution too, but clearly instructed.

    Good first half.
    Corners were an absolute disgrace.

I don't mind his inwsinging corners, they're difficult corners to go for but I think they will result in more goals for us.

I think the curling ones in from the right though are pointless as we just don't have anyone who attacks a ball well so theres nothing going to happen from them unless teams defend them badly and they land right on the heads of CCV or Scales.

We should let him just batter them at goal from the right, he'll probably score the odd one and then the odd 2/3 will be skimmed in by one of us or an OG and then a keeper might palm one or two down to be booted in, might get 4-6 goals a season from him doing those corners from there but should opt for short corners from the other side as we'll need to be massively lucky to score a goal.

Even when he wasnt in the game he still had moments of real quality.
Jota was one of the players that made us a far better side.

He was the biggest on the ball talent we had since Nakamura or McGeady.

Aye star wise he's on a par with Jota but in terms of what Jota brought to the team and our overall style of play it's night and day.

I like Palma and would have loved to have seen him in an Ange team. You all keep saying about Jota but I think he would have struggled in this team as well.
