I would like to see him get first team game time, his second half performance against Hibs in the preseason game screamed out this boy is proper footballer with real talent. He has not been seen since.

It is early in the season but if his game time at Celtic will be limited to 5 mins or less every few weeks, then a loan to the likes of Hibs who were keen on McCrorie before his move to Aberdeen would be a good alternative for his development. Motherwell if we bought Turnbull, could be another option. I wouldn’t want the lad to stay here and not play any football as that doesn’t help the player or club.

Other thread just reminded me of him but it's criminal he can't even make the match day squad..

His versatility and quality should be a no brainer but looks like McInroy is the favoured choice..

Rate McInroy highly but he's been out a long long time and isn't as versatile as Connell for me..

Mcinroy appears to have overtaken Robertson and connell during pre season, could even be ahead of soro the way things are looking

Isn't a bad thing if he's the same player as before injury as he was looking like a seamless successor to Broony..

A leader in the youth team. Dig. Brilliant left peg. Box to box..

Connell is a superb player and Robertson the youngest out the trio could easily play for us now. Outrageous talent..

All left footers as well vying for the same position's..

Something is gonna have to give as there's no way they'll all be playing..

Pity that the rumours of Robertson and Henderson going to Motherwell as part of the Turnbull deal weren’t true.

    Aye definitely..

    Need to get them out..

Henderson was really promising in his breakthrough, signed a new deal and has stagnated/regressed since his loan at Ross County..

Didn't look the same player pre season although was out of position but he looks down the pecking order of a few other boy's now..

Ye I really like what I've seen of robertson. All three look like fantastic talents, let's hope they can kick on next season, probably two of the three should go out on loan

Definitely. He was playing first team for Bolton which helped him progress quickly. He will stagnate and rot if he sits in the stands or plays development league for another season. Would like to see him on loan at another Scottish team where we can keep a close eye on his performances.

Should have been loaned out already to a Premiership club.

Agree, was quite excited by him when we got him. Loan out all the boys and even if that means we pay all or 90% of the wages cos its us benefitting in the long run.

Yeah we should definitely be looking to send more youngsters out on loan to fellow Premiership sides. It would be very good for our fans to watch these promising youngsters playing regularly in a level up from the reserves and would give us a reason to watch more games from out with our own. It certainly doesn’t help our youngsters develop just sitting here and getting reserve games. They have to taste first team football elsewhere, preferably here in Scotland and test themselves. It did wonders for Christie and Ajer. Christie especially looked like he was going to be away until he impressed at Aberdeen and Ajer certainly sped up his route into the starting XI here by going to Kilmarnock.

Was very surprised that the County move didn’t work out for Henderson. Thought that he would have got a lot of game and done well but for some reason it didn’t work out.
He is definitely further down the pecking order than he was previously.

Was very excited to get Turnbull in but when I heard Henderson and Robertson were possibly going the other way on loan I was looking forward to watching them play on a more regular basis.

    Big smiles in training.

I’m dying for him to get a chance. Think with Robertson on loan, he’s got a place on the bench.

Right now, of the 3, he is the one I would like to see get some game time.

possibly too soft, the millenials have got a reputation for that, and not fighting for his career away the way he should, they arent a fashionable team their game is about working hard

so a team that like to play good football but hes also got to dig in, you see lots of players not making it at their first club and it seems to spur them on to work a lot harder, robertson at liverpool for example

Is there any chance he could play LWB? Taylor is decent enough as a LB in a back four, but is never a LWB. Maybe Connell go do a job there?

    No.

And while we are here, no we can not play Barkas up front, Edouard is not a centre back and Elhamed is not a left winger.

Except Connell can, and has, played as a left-sided midfielder.

Left mid is not LWB. completely different positions that require a completely different set of skills.
