Luca Connell

Lennon’s never dropping Brown mate.

The fact we kept him on until the 80th minute kind of tells you what Lennon thinks about it.

 

Lennon's biggest downfall is his reluctance to give others a try.. sticks to the same players and subs more often than not and unfortunately this could cost us big time, would love to see a midfield 3 of Luca ntcham and either McGregor or rogic... Love brown but we are quicker and more fluid with out him now. No way he should have got 80 mins against Killie... However as he won't change it up the he really should try Luca at lb. Our weakest position that he would likely improve till we can bring in a replacement for that pap boli. Either way, would love to see more of him.

 

Connell looked great against Hibs, really positive in possession and played some lovely through balls. After that performance he really should be in the mix but the reality is, he hasn't even been on the bench in the last 2 games.

Bitton, Ntcham, Soro all ahead of him in the pecking order. We really need to mix it up with the midfield because it's becoming a bit stale. We seen how Rangers ran over the top of us in midfield last season and we have done nothing to change it since. It's worrying given the quality we have in there.

 

It is criminal after his performance in the Hibs game that he has not made a squad. He looked exactly what we were needing in our midfield at the minute, someone who can move the ball on quickly and forward and not afraid of putting the foot in as well.

I don’t think he should be left back or left wing back but given a go in the midfield.

 

LWB, opportunity perhaps.

 

I cant see us signing a LB/LWB before our next league game, so could be worth trying in that role.

Can't see it, he's been nowhere near squads and even in the warm up games Kerr McInroy was getting played there instead of him. Fuxk, even in that hibs game he came on as a sub when a load of young boys started. For whatever reason he seems to be behind even the youngsters on the periphery of the squad.

 

McInroy played left back before being moved into centre mid so likely he’ll get a chance ahead of Luca. Though Hatem can also play left back.

 

If Lennon plans moving forward and playing two up top then Connell, or players like him are a must in the team. The ability to play that killer pass.

 

I really want to see him get a chance in the side but if Lenny isn’t going to put him at least in the squad I think a loan move to Motherwell, Hibs or Dundee Utd would be good.

Would be very interested to see Connell and Turnbull in a midfield together.

 

Should be getting a run out tomorrow. Soro as well.
