We were poor today and thats being kind. However, this is only 1 game in 3 months which we've lost. Personally, I would prefer to lose at this point than at any later point. Why? Because Hearts didn't win which means we're still top of the league, still full of confidence BUT hopefully after today, NOT complacent unlike before. Why else is this a good time to lose? Because it's blatantly obvious that Rangers will not win tomorrow either, and I will be gloating on here when my prediction comes true after that match.
What I'm basicly getting at is, judging by the performance today, the players seem to think that the title is in the bag. Thats definetely changed after today, where the players have been given a right good kick up the * - without that inflicting too much damage on our points cushion in the league, due to Hearts and probably Rangers' failure to win this weekend. I know there is no such thing as a good time to lose, but it was bound to happen at some point. In my honest opinion, this was an ideal time to lose due to the reasons I mentioned before. If we carry this kind of form into the next game, then I'd worry. But I think the players will learn from this match more than anything else, and Aberdeen will face a hungry Celtic side next week, where they will be on the end of a major backlash.

It's more simple than that, play all the old guard together and this is what you get (just like 1st 5 games). No Beattie or Maloney to come on to get them out of a hole this time.
Today exposed our weaklinks once and for all, so hopefully GS takes the positive from this negative. -

Simpley replace Naka with Agathe and keep Mc Geady on the left where he and Camara combine brillaintly. Pace and attacking prowess on both flanks feeding crosses to the big men, I have no doubt we would have won quite comfortabley. -

Yip totally agree way Lenny1, as soon as I seen the team it was obvious that way Sutton and Hartson upfront, and no Naka, we were never goin to destroy them.
Thompson was pish, a respect that he had done well for us, but he's basically living on reputation now, he's a liability, doesn't half the heart imo now. Hartson was totally pish a think, never done one thing right all afternoon. A thought Camara was absolutely stinkin, imo one of the worst full back displays a've seen in my life. Sutton, never looked fit and was atrocious yesterday. Balde and McManus looked very dodgy imo. Lennon is a waste of a shirt in games like that, Dunfermline were never going to fling men forward from the middle, he never made one forward pass all day and when Dunfermline just sat in and he was asked to make a killer pass or set something up when we were on the attack he just passed it back the way. Only players who a would give pass marks to would have been Petrov, Telfer and Boruc.
IMO the bhoys thought they could just come out yesterday and win 5-0 way no effort at all, hopefully they will have learned the lesson to take teams seriously and hopefully Strachen will have learned no to play the "old guard" again as they simply cost us points. Just shows how much we miss Naka and maloney's creativity a think. -

what yesterday shows though is that if other teams neutralize Naka and Maloney we're up the Swanee without a paddle. And our manager didn't have a clue what to do. Its an awfy bad season for Scottish football methinks!
