Yeah, was just being bitter because I know John-Joe well and I know he can do better than what he did.

Well done to Campbell it was fully deserved on the night.

Best part was they reviewed it and it was won by a wider margin and not level relying on countback :56::56: ....
And the Italian IOC member is giving the medals out too :56::56::56::icon_mrgreen:

Yes, people from your country origin around the world, mostly from your ex colonies. It is easy to be good at the Olympics when you collect team of different races, origin, that mix always brings quality. The Irish alone fight for their country, not for the empire. If there aren't competitors whose ancestors are from ex English colonies, you wouldn't win half of that medals, just like France.

Thanks a lot. it would be nice if someone from Wales give us the list of their medal winners. I would like to see what Celtic people did at the Olympics.
A typical Scot. He was a bereaved fighter for the independence and now he is an Unionist. You all remember "Anyone but England" and now he is British. Hahahahaha.
    :56:
Stay calm Scottish lads, I am just saying.:icon_mrgreen:

Sorry mate, without any political intention, how could it be Scottish medal when Scotland hasn't its own team? I understand he is Scottish, but if Serbian guy wins a medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, it can not be Serbian medal.

I like this quote. I have never heard it until now.

Totally agree, wherever they come from.

Top post and when I say something like this people accuse me I am a racist.

I have been arguing with my brother all this time. I think every sport should be at the Olympic games, after all, all those sportsmen work hard just like footballers, athletes and so on...
We used to be good, we beat them in Indianapolis in World cup quarter final and won the gold vs Argentina, but it was long ago, in 2002. We are creating new team. We even didn't play at the Olympics. USA has the best basketball team, but it was great to see that Spain could play equally against dream team.
    :50:
I was crying like a wee girl when she won gold medal. Is it true that BBC stopped broadcasting while Irish anthem was played?

That is a libero. The libero is a player specialized in defensive skills: the libero must wear a contrasting jersey color from his or her teammates and cannot block or attack the ball when it is entirely above net height. When the ball is not in play, the libero can replace any back-row player, without prior notice to the officials. This replacement does not count against the substitution limit each team is allowed per set, although the libero may be replaced only by the player whom he or she replaced.

It is over. Paraolympics time-All the best to Jason Smyth!
