Interesting to see Bailly getting another chance.

He was a very promising young goalkeeper in Belgium before joining Gladbach in January of 2009.
He then helped the club to stay up with a lot of fantastic saves and games.

After that he really fell off the cliff and had a real tough time thanks to his gambling habbits.

Though, it seems like those times are behind him and he's been solid in Belgium for some time now.

Really hope the lad can keep up the good form and help Celtic.

BTW: As far as I can remember of him, he's really good on the line, has great reflexes but sometimes trouble with crosses.

Decent signing but kind of hard to get excited about it. Can't see him being better than Gordon and seriously challenging him but, who knows.

That's pretty much it. He would pull out amazing saves and then completely miss an easy catch on an incoming cross. Mentality wise he also wasn't quite up to par but he seemed to have found wisdom with age. He started of his career in Germany as a star though. Was voted Gladbach's player of the year and had a truly fantastic game against Werder Bremen. Unfortunately gambling and idiotic behaviour took their toll.

He's also one of Guy Martens' projects. The Genk GK-trainer that produced Thibaut Courtois, Wolfsburg-goalie Koen Casteels and Turkish international Sinan Bolat.

    From my Belgian friend.

Logan Bailly is a bit of a strange guy.
He comes from the fantastic Genk GK school (Courtois, Casteels and others) and he was a fantastic GK.
Soon he became our national GK and got a big transfer to Borussia Mochengladbach. His first season was terrific. Bayern Munchen wantedto buy him but Borussia refused the transfer.
Then the problems started, a gambling addiction, he started to buy car after car, got involved in fights and all sorts of troubles, got a fewdrunk driving accidents and nearly ended up in jail. Of course he made some serious mistakes an Borussia offloaded him to Neuchatel Xanax in Switzerland. After that he returned to Genk for half a season, but Genk didn't want him.
Then he played for a new first division club OH Leuven. After two seasons in the Jupiler League, the club got relegated, but last season they won promotion largely due to Bailly's fantastic season....

He is very, very talented, but alle depends on his off-field antics.

One could say that Celtic are making a gamble with him. He could be top, but also a big flop. There is no inbetween with him...

    We all make mistakes.

Hopefully age and life experience has matured him.

I just seen that he was playing 2nd tier Belgian football last season, finishing 5th and getting promoted through the play-offs.

    Cosmic.

We have a great record of ironing out keepers. Great decision coming to Celtic

Im extremely happy with this. You need a competent back-up goalie. The best won't want to be second fiddle.

He sounds pretty good, just a skitso therefore he was deemed less desireable.

Seems right up Ronny's street. Talented but a bit off the rails.

Good save from their first penalty. Had a rush of blood soon after but hopefully can prove to be a decent backup.
