Leo Fasan: Sent out on loan to Port Vale in January after Jak Alnwick joined Rangers, Italian stopper Fasan – who joined Celtic from Udinese in 2010 – has played eight games for Port Vale, but he failed to clean sheet and hasn't played for a month having been dropped in favour of Deniz Mehmet.

Colin McCabe: Irish goalkeeper McCabe, 20, has been sent out to Stenhousemuir in the third tier of Scottish football. With 14 appearances, McCabe is earning valuable playing time, and has kept two clean sheets in those games

Efe Ambrose: Nigerian defender has been with Celtic for almost five years now, but having failed to nail down a first-team place under Brendan Rodgers, the 28-year-old was sent off to Hibernian in February. Ambrose, who is out of contract this summer, has played eight times for Hibs, helping Neil Lennon's keep two clean sheets.

Saidy Janko: 21-year-old right back Janko has failed to impress with Celtic since his 2015 move from Manchester United, and with little chance of playing under Rodgers, he joined Barnsley in August. Janko has played just ten games this season, and just three times in 2017 having struggled for form and fitness at Oakwell, doing his chances of saving his Celtic career no good.

Eoghan O'Connell: Irish defender O'Connell appears to have a bright future at Celtic Park, but Rodgers clearly wanted him to get more playing time, hence a January loan move to Walsall. With 13 appearances for the League One side, O'Connell has impressed with the Saddlers, and should be in a better place for first-team football with the Bhoys next season.

Jamie McCart: A product of the Celtic youth academy, 19-year-old defender McCart is earning valuable experience with Scottish Premiership rivals Inverness, making seven league appearances for Caley. Last month, Inverness boss Richie Foran told The Scottish Herald that he feels McCart is one of the top young prospects in Scotland, and his progress with Inverness will be a boost for Rodgers.

Aidan McIlduff: Left back McIlduff was sent out on loan to third tier Queen's Park, but he has made just five league appearances for the club so far as he looks to gain first-team experience.

Ryan Christie: The talented young playmaker needed playing time, and whilst he has made just three starts for Aberdeen, he has played in ten games in total, notching two goals, including a goal of the season contender against Motherwell in February. The 22-year-old's move hasn't been quite as successful as hoped, but he will be pushing for playing time with Celtic next term.

Scott Allan: After Celtic beat Rangers to Allan's signature in 2015, the midfielder was expected to push for first-team football at Celtic Park, but his move has turned into a nightmare. Not only did he struggle for playing time last season, but his loan move to Rotherham – who have already been relegated from the Championship – has seen him play just five games, failing to register a goal or an assist.

Kristoffer Ajer: Ronny Deila's final signing with Celtic, Norwegian wonderkid Ajer struggled to break into the Celtic side under Brendan Rodgers, though he was trialled as a centre back in pre-season. Ajer has now made 11 appearances for Kilmarnock, earning rave reviews for his performances, with manager Lee McCulloch telling The National in January that Ajer is 'different class'.

Connor McManus: 21-year-old midfielder McManus, who has been on the books with Celtic since 2005, joined Queen of the South just a matter of weeks ago, making two substitute appearances for the Scottish Championship club.

Joe Thomson: In January, midfielder Thomson also joined Queen of the South, and he has impressed with four goals in 13 games. It's unclear just how close Thomson is to first-team football at Celtic, but he's making the right impression in his loan spell.

Jamie Lindsay: Last summer, midfielder Lindsay, 21, was sent on loan to Greenock Morton, and he has registered one assist and three goals in 35 for the Scottish Championship outfit. The former Scotland Under-19 international will be hoping to push for a place at Celtic, but may face another loan move this summer.

Aidan Nesbitt: One of Celtic's most promising young players, winger Nesbitt has also spent the season with Morton. The 20-year-old has played 36 games in a season of first-team experience, scoring three goals for the club as he looks to impress Rodgers ahead of pre-season.

Paul McMullan: Now on his fourth loan move away from Celtic, 21-year-old attacker McMullan has been a regular for Scotland at youth level, and he has impressed on loan at Dunfermline. With seven goals in 35 games, McMullan has thrived with the Scottish Championship side, and his exploits may have caught Rodgers' eye.

Nadir Ciftci: One of Ronny Deila's men signings, Turkish attacker Ciftci made just four appearances under Rodgers, and was sent to Poland with Pogon Szczecin in January. So far, Ciftci has failed to score in five games for the Ekstraklasa side, doing little to suggest he can save his Bhoys career.

Theo Archibald: 19-year-old attacker Archibald is currently with Albion Rovers having completed a January loan move, making 11 appearances for the club. However, he has yet to score for the club, and will be hoping to get off the mark before the end of the season.

Luke Donnelly: Another youngster on loan at Morton, attacker Donnelly moved out on loan in February, and has found the net once in 16 appearances.
